Really think they should have added some rewards to the event. I can't see any reason to play a full game after my guys prestige chase? Same with anybody else who already has 100 wins.
Prestiging guys was the only reason to play the first event as well..
I've made close to 300K in stubs, but ok.
Great for you! I've gotten 3 base rounds in my prospect packs for a total of 15k and no diamonds from any of the other packs at 67 wins, a random pack reward is not worth worrying about winning games, but ok.
The rewards are better than other game modes, unless you regularly go 12-0. So I'll take it. When the rewards are cards, their value drops to less than 15K (What you've made), so I guess we have different math.
The last event had 2 guaranteed rewards that were going for 20k McGriff and Lofton before the market crash of Ducks on the Pond 2 were both going for 20k Percival was going for 10ish, that guaranteed 50k is a lot different than my 3 prospects cards worth 5k each. So yea... I guess we do have different math...
And the event rewards will recover
Yea after they get taken out of circulation they always rise barring pack market crashes
Got 30K alone from the prospect set two pack. 99's are coming out. The old cards won't get that. Maybe the next event will have better rewards.
You did.. that's great, again I got base round for all 3 so 5k each. I know it's hard for you to admit you're wrong on something but you're wrong on this..
I don't believe I"m wrong that the value of old event cards will continue to go down. TA 3 comes out in a week, and three free 99's drop Friday.
Your entire premise is that those cards go up in value after the event is over. That simply isn't the case.
Maybe in future events that will be true, but I don't like to talk about things that haven't happened yet in order to justify your weak argument.
No, you're wrong in that you think the event rewards for this event are worth it because you made "300k" on rewards this event.
-
And yes, every year event reward cards have gone up in value after their event is over especially when there is a catch all Honus Wagner type collection, like there will be again this year.
-
I also wonder with very few cards that you can get in packs worth over 100k how you managed to get 300k? If you think that amount of volume diamonds you "pulled" is what every person is going to get in their packs I don't really know what to tell you...

My statement started with "I've made", the first conjunction "I have" would indicate that I am discussing my own experience. I'll try to be more clear next time?
Perhaps I'll add a disclaimer for folks who are easily triggered. Let me know if this works better for you next time.
"I've made close to 300K in stubs. I realize not everyone will have the same experience as me, and in fact, I expect others to have less fortunes when opening the 55 packs with 5 guaranteed diamonds, and 7 guaranteed golds that are given for easy 3 inning games"

Nobody is triggered here but again good try, as I stated before and is still correct, prestiging players is the only reason to play the event. but ok.

You are totally wrong about previous event cards going down. There won't be anymore, and with people exchanging some of them, and other people leaving the game who have them, and with a good number being locked-in in the future, these cards will do nothing but go up as they become more and more scarce.

Ok, Fred McGriff. Peaked at 40K, now selling for 17-22K. He's only dropped since the 28th of May. The first big crash as 6/6, then he held steady until the next market crash on 6/20. There are currently 12 All-Star cards cheaper than him, and we are almost to the "all-star" break, which means SDS will be dropping All-Star content.
I'm sorry if you invested in him, better luck on your next guess.

Alright, I'm going to drop out here lol arguing with trolls/children not really on the top of my priority list today, have a great day.
P.S Mcgriff peaking at 40k means it's a worthwhile event reward, which packs are not, get your prestige stats and get out as fast as possible.

Even rookie felix has gone up 4-5 from being quick sale value at first, isn't the silver rookie Machado like 6k?

Yes, and as soon as the big collection reward hits all these cards are going to get super rare as people lock them in.

Why don't you try sticking around for the year, instead of running your mouth about things you don't know about. Come October or November these will be expensive cards for what they are, just like last year. With no new supply, and the vast majority of what there was being unvailable, these will be the rarest cards in the game. Collectors will pay far more than what they are worth.
And no, I don't invest but rather immediately flip. I don't like to hold onto cards, with a week or two hold being my limit for cards that drop below my threshhold.

A lot of angry people when someone doesn't share your opinion, I suppose this is what the internet has become. I've been playing this series of baseball game since launch, and DD since it first came into the game. You don't have to agree with me, but you also don't have to turn to personal attacks. Typically those who throw out personal attacks already know they've lost the argument, thus they try to appeal to the emotional side of an individual in the hopes of angering them as much as you're angry. It didn't work, so next time, I suggest you try a different approach.
As for "And No, I don't invest", why not? Do you not trust your words with stubs? Give it a go, since you're so certain, it's a can't lose opportunity!
