Prestige XP path

Does this path only generate XP in multiplayer? I ask because the word prestige for everything else in the game refers to online PvP play

No you still gain XP for it.

As I understand it (not quite there yet myself), XP is earned the same way it is in the regular path. "online PvP play" refers to stat accumulation for prestiging the inning bosses, the collection bosses and the POTM bosses.

Yes, it is just regular XP, it does take quite a lot of XP to move through it though. I am at 29
