Is anyone holding on to guys like Acuna, Judge, Yelich, etc....? Hoping that if/when the shortened season starts they'll start receiving their daily matchup bonus everyday and therefore their value will go up? I could use the extra stubs right now for my short-sighted goals but if I can eventually sell Acuna for 40-50k I'll just keep holding on to him and the others.

LS cards only exist as gatekeepers to Mickey now, they won’t go up in price because people won’t use them on their teams whenever the season starts.

If (emphasis on if) we have a season the only reason a card would jump is if it's a gold player or below that starts off so hot that they become a diamond or gold, or if one of the diamond players falters so badly or is injured (Stanton) that they become a gold and fall in price. Other then that the LS series cards will not move in price until at least September or later and players like Judge/Altuve/Springer are unlikely to rise in price at all.

I think you are not giving enough credit to IE boosts to these cards that along with their active perks, will make them better than many of the legend cards people are using.
Judge with +12 contact and power on a given day? DeGrom with +11 K9 and H9? Those are going to be some very useful cards.

Yeah that's what I'm getting at. There's a reason guys like Acuna and Judge all stayed around 40-60k last year. With their daily boosts the stats they have make them more like 95 overalls a lot of the time.

Good point and your absolutely right I was wrong to over look the IE boosts, I have to correct myself here because when I think about it Judge/Acuna/DeGrom could get huge boosts as well. My apologies

It’s not that the cards won’t be good, because there will obviously be some good cards with IE boosts, it’s that by the time the season (potentially) starts, a significant amount of teams will have cards that surpass the overalls that IE boosts provide. It’ll be great for lower RS divisions and newer players, where top tier cards are harder to find, but I don’t think that there will be enough demand from those categories to significantly change the price of the cards at this point.

I think baseball will be back in action by the end of July, which is early enough to make these cards more valuable imo.
