Saving my progress

why do i have to keep saving my franchise progress and sliders? Whats the point to that? And does it not automatically save?

After you play a game and then return to the main franchise menu it autosaves usually I think. But then from that point if you go to lineups or anything then it tells you that you need to save again even if you haven't done anything.

If you simulate games in the calendar it does not autosave. I think it only autosaves when you finish a game you actually played and return to the menu.
