Why is deGrom so expensive?

I lucked out and got him as a post game reward. I was very surprised to see him amongst the rest of the cards, pushed the button to make one player disappear at a time, and was shocked he was still there at the end. I play offline and like using Bret Saberhagen. I suspect deGrom is a beast online because of the speed on his fastballs but I don't think he'll be better than Bret offline. I'm wondering what I should do with him.

Sell him. He hangs a lot of offspeed online for me. Plus his price won’t be this high for too much longer.

Thanks! I think that was what I wanted to hear. I have nothing against deGrom. Great pitcher, cool card, but he's going for a fortune and there are cards that are half as much that excite my 3 times more. I've been eyeing McCutchen and that card excites me. What do you think about that one relative to its price?

I sold deGrom for 121,399. I had 15,000 before the sale. So this helped.

Wait on McCutchen. Hes sure to drop once they start releasing more packs into the market.
