Showdown advice please

Title says it all. The only Showdown I have been able to finish is the Starter one. Does anyone have any advice or tricks to help me out? I am a pretty mediocre player at best. I am like 45- 86 in Ranked games just to give you an idea of my skill level. Thank you for any help.

Always draft batters. Draft batters with good power. Make sure you have 1 silver starter and 1 silver bullpen arm. Before going into each mission tweak your lineup to benefit you in said mission. Same goes for your perks. Also for perks always choose batting perks.. I’m not the best at showdowns but if anything I make up stubs and xp by playing them. Lastly, be patient with the bat. Hope this helps.

Ok. I will give this a try. Thank you!

What kings said. I’m a mediocre player as well, and after two months of really struggling on showdowns, I read a bunch of strategy guides on reddit and that helped. Just google the showdown you want and there will be lots of good tips in the reddit thread.
I actually decided to switch hitting to Directional instead of zone to really force myself to swing at strikes and not “reach” for anything. Make yourself take a strike. Don’t try to go after low strikes as that will induce double plays. Wait for a pitch down the middle and regular swing.
I’ve won 6 out of 9 showdowns since adhering to this strategy.

Thank you alot! I am going to try this tonight!

Draft power hitters. Take pitches, wait for something in the middle of the zone. This might take a while because they tend to either miss the zone entirely or throw one on the corner.
When they dive around and turn ridiculous double plays pause the game and take a deep breath.
The perk that looks like a broken heart and the one of the guy meditating are your best friends. The thermometer is good too.

I load up of left handed bats when the bosses are right handed. I finished 4th inning showdown in 40 minutes doing this combined with what kings suggested. Finished it off with an Ellsbury grand slam. My favorite power up is the boost to pitches slightly outside the zone. Those slightly low fast balls are easy home runs.
In the Final Showdown, dont tag up when you have many outside to go unless you are 100% positive your runner will be safe.

Patience. Don't swing at everything. Also, know who the final boss is and stack your lineup with players that will wreck him.

@Darth__BainThis right here. Also for the bosses keep a couple of speed/bunt guys and do not be afraid to bunt if you have guts on 1st and 2nd. Double plays are the worst in this mode.
When you get the winning run on base, PR with a speed guy. But never, ever steal. Ever.

Not sure why everyone says to not get pitching perks. Half of the moments are pitching moments. Like getting out of a jam with the heart of the order up and bases loaded with no outs. Those pitching perks really help out. Obviously the bosses are hitting only but don’t totally avoid pitching perks. Also many of the hitting perks overlap each other so if you have moments where you have to pitch and hit adding a pitching perk sure helps.

I find taking pitcher for sure, if you go in swinging you will not be rewarded even if it's perfect perfect or good good, simply doesn't reward you if you don't work the count.

This is obvious, but when you make it to the last showdown, don’t worry about positions. Just load up your lineup with your best hitters. Then have a couple fast runners on your bench.
