I'm currently at 856 and have never made WS before. I started playing DD last year and just haven't ever played enough RS games to make a serious push, but I'm going to have several hours tonight.

My two best starters have been Glavine and Kluber. Both of whom will be able to pitch the next 2 games after they get a game to rest. My question is who would you start for the upcoming game? Here are my options:

-Newhouser (He's been okay, but if my opponent has any plate discipline he gets shelled.)
-Hamels (I've done surprisingly well with him.)
-Felix (Just unlocked, not a single start yet.)
-Lodolo (I started 2 games below 700 with him and didn't do well, but I'm tempted to give him a shot on HoF).

I would start Newhouser then literally bring in a combination of all the others depending on matchups might be unpopular to say but you are this close to WS might as well unload to get to your aces

Truthfully try an opener. Start your second best reliever. Most of them will be pitching from the stretch and you can utilize the slide step to quick pitch aggressive opponents. Give the opener two innings and pinch hit for him when he comes up to hit then bring in your starter. Hopefully, by that time you’ll have a lead and can feed off the momentum. You’ll still have your closer to shut the door late. Just an out of the box idea.

I like that approach. I dont use an opener but I'd rather see that than 3 sp back to back to back out of the pen.

I started Felix and lost a slugfest. Should have tried the opener.

Lost the next game when the guy laid down a suicide bunt with Sheffield to score the winning run. 820 now. Bleh.
