Starting pitchers in long relief

Is it just me, or do others think we should be able to add starting pitchers to the long relief slot for relief? Teams do it in the mlb. I understand you can use a starting pitcher in relief during a game, but with collections we have a lot more then 5 good starters to use, why not let it happen. That way I wouldn't have to wear down a pitcher from my rotation. Do you guys agree or am I being extra?

No that’s already one of the worst parts of this game. I was playing well, up 1-0. Wearing down Roy oswalt (can’t hit that guy). Get him to around 100 pitches in the 5th inning. I’m thinking great, get to hit some bullpen arms for a couple inning. Nope, here comes Kluber for 4 innings. If the game wants starters out of the bullpen, fine. But at least make them use all of the bullpen arms first.

I wonder if using a long relief spot with the potential to use a starter or reliever as a replacement for the current system would be a good idea? I think it could be a nice middleground between what we have now and what we had last year.

Now that's an even better idea. If guys want to use Kluber in relief then that limits them from starting him aswell.

Personally I wish they would tame the stamina, to where it's strategically important to put an actual RP with more than 30 stamina for long relief. If they did that and competitively got it right then yeah it'd be good to be able to use it as the 6th SP spot

I would support one starter as a long reliever if it meant we couldn't use starters out the pen.
