Wtf is a lag switch? Is it even real??

Some dude just messaged me after a disconnect saying I “turned on my lag switch” which I knew would intentionally wind up in a dc win for me. What the heck is he talking about? Is this a thing?

Do a google search for it. It is a thing and can be used. Not sure if anyone actually uses that but there is different things that can be done to mess up another person's connection. Did they message you during the game and you responded?

I am not sure it is something that can be used now on modern P2P gaming. You would automatically lose connection. So yes, it is a thing, but no, it really isnt something that is doable anymore on most popular online games. Apparently it use to be a good while back though.

It's practically impossible to prove, but I've played some guys over the past few years who I suspected of doing this too. Just remember that nothing is impossible, this is all coded and every code can be hacked/altered/manipulated if you know what you're doing.

This is something that use to be very popular in the earlier cod games. I didn't know it was something that would work in this game though, so that's interesting.

I think it's more of a scare tactic. It used to be a thing maybe even 5 years ago, but Sony can now catch it way easier.
If they do, your system is basically a 300$ paperweight.
