Can't wait to hit a million dingers with the GOAT Schwarber, although I am kinda bummed no Neshek, guy absolutely destroyed folks for me in a lot of these Events

I hear you. I usually like events bc I get a chance to use cards that have been sitting in the binder with no where to play them. When I have finished the Mantle collection it seems like a waste of my time to want to grind out with some gold players.
Earlier in the game this would have been more appealing to most.

Some influencer will define the “meta” lineup and that’s what you’ll see the majority of the time.I don’t mind the no Diamond in theory, but I’m bummed because I recently pulled a few diamonds that I was looking forward to trying out competitively without throwing them on my RS team.
My bigger issue, disappointment is the 6 innings with no quick counts. Kind of defeats the purpose of Events for many, especially when their asking for 50 wins over a couple weeks or so. As much as I complained about quick counts in a competitive mode, and think it is still a valid criticism, I have to admit it was kind of fun to have a new experience, and I’d prefer them back if they are going to make it 6 hours...but standard 3 innings still being optimal. Honestly optimal probably would have been 3 innings/HOF. Game would probably play great in that level using Golds/Silvers. Oh well...

Of course I would like to use other cards to work on still or whatever, but for people like me who are still grinding innings for cards or challenges, I enjoy using cards Id never get a chance too. I also have an all gold squad for RS so I’m perfectly used to using some of these cards and welcome the chance to play someone using the same cards. -

“More skill based” goes right out the window as soon as you read “difficulty: all-star”.

The no quick counts is a big bugaboo for me for Cuz of how fast the games went by and I did like that style of play giving a new situation each at bat

honestly the TA innings are more valuable than most of the rewards after McGriff anyways

I just played 2 games of the event and it was pretty good. Yes quick counts would have been fun but over games had a good pace and seeing the gold players its refreshing

Plus alot of the stat mission for stage 1 and 2 could easily be completed durning this event

I agree on 6 innings with no quick counts being garbage but the influencers have nothing to do with what the lineups will be. It really shouldn’t be a surprise to anyone that the best lineup is

New event is good for finishing Daily missions for Gold Players... Also tolerable way to select certain players from certain teams for TA and Team based daily awards.
It is still really a long slog to get McGriff..
