Fielder delayed reactions

So I’m noticing this in showdown, my fielders stopping to let a ball through, or not responding to my attempts to move them to make a play.
Here’s an example:
https://youtu.be/hq3mMsj6cXcDevers is moving to make a play on a ground ball but somehow stops just long enough for the ball to get through to the outfield. My analog is continuously to the left, I’m not letting up on it.
Is anyone else seeing this? Is this an example of sliders effecting my fielders?

Could be that Devers isn't a 1B and has low fielding? I dunno. Could also just be bad animations this year.

I've had this happen a bunch lately. Infielders just dont get to balls that they obviously should. Looks like they are pulled back at an opportune time.

The outfielders do the same thing. They get into an animation you cannot break. This then slows them enough to miss the ball. If this isn't rng I don't know what is.

I've noticed this too, there seems to be an additional hit above the 5% reduction for secondary positions because I had Sandburg just stand at 3rd and miss a soft line drive without reacting at all. Pisses me off.

Either this kind of stuff just doesn’t happen to me, or it just isn’t a big enough deal to care about.

Well, I suspect you are a good enough player that it doesn’t matter.
The example I posted was just annoying. It’s not like it prevented me from getting out of the inning or anything.
