Live Series 85 Diamond player prices
-
So, I've finished Live Series collections for over 20 teams and want to finish the Athletics and Indians but I can't understand why Chapman and Ramirez are so expensive. Why would anyone want to pay 10k+ stubs for a borderline Diamond player. One roster update and next thing you know, he's a gold player that would sell for a minimum of 1000 stubs. Why are people allowing the prices to stay so high when players 86-89 are selling for less than 10k stubs?? Those two were back and forth between Gold and Diamond last year...
Meanwhile I bought Betts 89 and Judge 88 for only 8k stubs! Just saying...

Imo...chapman is the only diamond in that collection so that is why hes the price he is. Doolittle is a nice lefty from collecting all the a’s as well.
For the indians... cody allen is decent if you collect all the indian cards.

Once you get judge and Mookie you still need Cole and belli so collection would be hard to complete

Doolittle is the driving price for Chapman. Top lefty in the game imo.

My guess is, completing collections!

I have Doolittle's LS card and he's nasty already. Plus I like that the LS version has a Splitter. The A's are the last team in the West I need to complete to get Billy Wagner. Is he that good?

Ramirez and Lindor are not just the only Live Diamonds for the Indians, they are the only Live Diamonds for AL Central, which leads to Walter Johnson (90 SP, decent player but that windup....)

Yea, I know Walter Johnson is mediocre. Another reason I'm not crazy about paying 30k+ to finish Cleveland. Hoping for some more free Diamond players. I've drawn quite a lot to finish teams this year including Trout and Verlander!

Everything however leads to Mantle, using your examples (Doolittle and Allen) imo I like both but I am CPU only so I don’t have a horse in the race. I guess for me it is about the end goal along with the rewards along the way (Johnson, Wagner, and Biggio leading to Mantle). As a completionist I would do it but your intent may differ

I replied to your other thread but I don't think people are considering roster updates right now with the season at best two months away. As others have said these guys are essentially gatekeepers for their sets and they both lead to solid relievers which are difficult to come by this year unless you got a ton of stubs laying around - I mean, look at how Dibble skyrocketed once his HL packs went away
