MLB The Show 21 Time for a Change!

I've always played with the announcers off. Who needs that over and over.? You're so right.
That, for me, is the biggest change in the game today. When I broke into the league, you wouldn’t see that high fastball right out of the gate. Guys wanted to get you out more east-west. Nowadays, with the uptick in velocity, pitchers are willing to work north-south.

SDS needs to not add animations for one year and work on more important aspects of the game. The complaints will only grow next year because of Xbox players.

Get what they have in now right before adding more stuff. They added animations to fielding the last 2 years and it hasn't been right. Pitching is still off. Hitting is off, either the feedback is wrong or something. Much like in 17 or 18 when they added buckshot to the feedback to cover for the inaccuracies

I went all in on '19 and have seen the changes through out the whole season. I've know about all the good and bad, tweaks and the flaws of '19. When they are the only MLB game out ( I don't consider those RBI games competition) just like Madden is the only NFL game, I never expect real changes or improvements made from one year to the next
Skipping 1, or 2 or even 3 years between buying the game is a smart choice -

The truth of the matter is, since 2014 or around 2015 i’ve felt the every new MLB The Show game that has been released it’s literally a copy of the previous year but with some minor tweaks and each year we get less and less of what used to make this game “The Most Realistic Baseball Game” i mean it’s not like they have any competition, since not even 2K makes baseball games anymore. I am not trying to bring our extraordinary people at San Diego Studios down, i am not but as a loyal consumer of this product i thought i should give you guys and honest opinion on these boards since i see alot! And i mean alot! Of videos on Youtube pointing out what i was already thinking “Time For a Change!
I will try to make this quick now, so yeah Graphics kinda do improve a bit each year but where i see the slowest progress are the animations! To give San Diego credit i think around 2017 i complained about the batting swings lookin too generic and MLB the show 2019 made those swing look more solid and powerfull and for that San Diego i praise you! The batters now look like they have more power behind the swings and i hope you keep focusing on that. Another things are sounds! Am i the only one who plays this game soo much you start hearing the same commentary over and over again its annoying. I mean these commentators literally say the same things since like MLB the show 2014! It’s Ridiculous. If im playing on the show i want to hear about how good i did last year or how bad or where the commentators think i will be in the future REALISM!. Also the sound of the ball hitting the bat! Could have more variations as should the crowd!!! I want to feel the crowds excitement and ferocity when hitting a walk off homerun in game 7 of the World Series. And road to the show!! Where do i start! Well tbh i like where we’re at with RTS, i just think it lacks the drama and excitement of a player making it big in the leagues! I mean come on! Give us a little story! I swear you guys would kill the league with that! And last but not least Franchise Mode! For this ill start off with a question?. Whats the whole point of having a good season, statistically if! I cant even spend the money my team earns? I mean seriously dudes! The old mlb the show games used to let me even set the prices for my tickets or parking lot and all the cool stuff that would make earning money more exciting and realistic!. I have so much more grievances but to be fair i don’t expect all of these to happen in a years time! But i know if you guys listen to us! The public, you guys are going to get nothing but praise. Im playing MLB the show 19 as we speak and the reason i am playing a older one its because i have come to purchase the game every 2 years now and the reason i do it it’s Because i dont feel the changes from one year to another are worth it at the moment! But that can change! With that being said. To San Diego Studios team! Thank you for all the endless hours i have enjoyed in this series and also thanks for even having this board where you can really connect with the community. I know you guyss heard me once!!! And one of the reasons i love 19 the show its because of the batting changes. (Still not perfect, but going in the right direction).
What do you guys think? Do you agree with me? Do we need changes in the MLB The Show series? Or do you like the game just as? Leave a comment with your thoughts or changes you think San Diego Studios should really take a look at! Thanks for reading and lets go forward together, who knows? Maybe MLB the Show 21! Will be the biggest MLB tittle to date! And it might be all because of us! 9 3 G A N G
This game isn't as bad as people think. They have nailed content, game play isn't realistic enough. They mostly fixed fielding. Now it is nerfing hitting and fixing pitching accuracy. It could be better but it could be worse, fielding could still suck. My complaint is my pack luck, that is all really. All year, 250+ standards/TA nothing, 30+headliners/ballins nothing. All prospect packs(10) but one I got the low tier. Flash headliner I got the CHEAPEST Dale Murphy. Not buying stubs from SDS until I get some luck, didn't buy the ducks pack or other flash sale either. If they give me some pack luck I would play the game more, buy stubs, and buy some packs

But you'll miss hearing Vasgersian saying: 'Oh, he missed it!' Lol.

This is why Madden stinks now.
Seems like everything is animation-based which leads to bad transitions and animations gone wild.

I've only been playing Franchise since like 2014 or 2015 or whenever 2K stopped making Baseball games cause I'm a PC guy..I've owned a PS3 and PS4 just to play The Show, nothing else.....I can't stand how crappy and outdated and limited console gaming is. But yeah, you're right...SDS needs to improve Franchise and not cater to these DD casuals and online people.

I couldn't disagree with the points in your post more, I don't think.
The various animations are vastly improved over previous years, even over 2019's game. Animations for fielding the ball, hitting the ball, the ball bouncing off of different surfaces, etc... are so much more realistic and detailed that it frankly amazes me that someone could fail to notice the differences.
The constant complaining by some on these forums continues to amaze me. The Show is one of the very top games available and has been such for at least eight years.

Re: the bat sounds in this years game. They are TREMENDOUS! That sound on a PERFECT/PERFECT is so good. The main reason why you may not be hearing it is the default sound levels really mute it out.
Every year when The Show arrives, you have to go into audio options and make sure to knock the commentary down to about 20%, while cranking the sound FX to 100% ..; then just turn up the volume of your TV /home theatre to hear the commentary at a good level and the bat sounds will absolutely rock. They should just do this as a default.
Anyhow, that’s they way to hear the nuances in bat sounds
