Game doesnt count stats for position players

i played a 15 inning game where i had to use position players, and their stats for pitching were not counted, curious as to why... has anyone else noticed this

It hasn't really been a problem for me, or at least I don't think so, but anyways, that is really lame.

I noticed that too. It doesn’t track position players’ pitching stats. It would be fun to keep track of just for shigzies in the case of a marathon game like you mentioned.

right.....ive played a 19, 17, 15 inning game all where i used my pitchers so i had to throw a position player... but for 3 inninngs no stats ? all i can say is tony gwynn

I think the "Q" that should be asked is why does it even matter? Really? Games are so very very very rare where you run out of pitchers & need to rely on 1 or 2 position players to actually pitch. Why would need need stat records kept of how they preformed. Will you use every single position player to pitch to see which 1 is better? If you running out of pitchers like that often, then the problem is more with yourself. You changing pitchers within a game too frequently & recklessly. Do not concern yourself with lefty/righty match-up for just 1 batter only. Look at the stats for the next 3-6 batters you will be facing & which has a better match with using a lefty or a righty for the next 3-6 batters. This way you can get 1-2 innings out of that 1 pitcher rather just just for 1 batter only.

im talking about ive played a honest 18 inning game used all my bullpen, in DD you cant use a starter in releif, so my bulllpen has been used up and i have had to use a position player. play me sometime....jake93436psn

Regardless, why should it even matter that pitching stats are not kept for position players who may pitch 1 every 100 games played in MLBTS.
