It’s fun reading all the justifications.

If you own your house and your networth is north of a million and your under 35 then spending a couple grand a year on games is meh but okay.

If not talk to some old people who eat cat food to save money and ask how their life is and would they rather have virtual cards when they are young or eat regular food and have financial independence when they are older. I’m guessing they won’t take Mickey Mantle card for a year lol.

To each their own tho. I guess we all have different plans in life otherwise everybody would be happy.

    What a ridiculous take.

And why do you seem to know so many old people who eat cat food? If you’re the second coming of John Rockefeller, why aren’t you buying the old people some real food?

Here’s a thought — I don’t drink and I never have. I am 36 and I have literally never paid for alcohol for myself in my life. If you’ve spent even a single penny on alcohol, then I think you’re destined to eat cat food. You see how that works? You make ridiculous judgments about our entertainment budgets, and we get to do the same.

It’s not close to the same. Price wouldn’t add up. Whatever makes you feel better for throwing your future away for virtual cards though I’m all for it. As long as we feel good inside.

You don’t think it’s bad enough to spend a third or more of your waking life on game imagine sprinkling in 10-20% of annual income for some people. Good luck finding any expert on anything to back that one up bud lol.

No expert or non expert is going to back up spending 10%-20% of your annual income on stubs lol. You are being ridiculous. We are talking about dropping a fiddy or a hundo every now and then. You’re talking about spending $10K plus. You’re nuts bro. No one here is defending that

He's gotta go to the extreme, he has no other case otherwise. Everyone has an entertainment fd, some spend it on movies, some beer, some vio games. He can't defend against that logic so he has to stretch what your saying.

It’s not even an extreme. I’d love to see some of y’all budgets and credit reports lol.

I’m not even judging. Just talking logically. You spend money on the game that’s okay but don’t be upset with somebody who says logically it’s not the best place to spend money.

Yes it is an extreme, Schanuzer isn't talking about thousands, you are.

Therefore, you are taking it to the extreme.

Also, I don't even spend money in this game, just pointing out your flimsy case, if you have to go to the extreme, you've already lost.

I’m talking about dudes spending $1500 on this game. Because they are more than likely spending in other games too. So working in theory a bit. Spend $3k on game while making $40k a year in insane. If you have kids it’s even crazier and can probably bump that up to $60/70k a year.

If you have no kids, make $100k+ and spend a couple hundred it’s not too horrible.

Yeah, bro your theory needs work. A lot of work. Who here is talking abut spending $3K on a $40K salary (or, hell, even $3K on ANY salary?) No one. No one at all. This is the definition of a straw man argument. There is literally no one here defending what you’re talking about. So you invent John Q Stubbuyer and act like it’s the norm. I’m starting to think you’re just a troll because absolutely no one could make an argument this ridiculous and be serious.

Multiple people have talked about $1200-1500. Someone who does that one one game is probably ping it on multiple games.

You can check out this little known guy named Albert Einstein on compounding interest to see what they would add up to.

You mean one person? Who we can already infer makes a lot of money with how he talks about how he deals in pre-WW2 baseball cards?

You're inventing up stuff, strawman argument.

You keep replying to Shanuzer about it when he isn't the one defending or talking about 1,000s.

So once again, you are taking it to an extreme and using strawman logic to build an argument.

It’s not a straw man. You’re working under the assumption a person spending $1500 on a game is doing that in one game lol. It’s all good, I know you have a job to do. Spending thousands on video game IAPs is indeed a great investment.

It’s not even an extreme. I’d love to see some of y’all budgets and credit reports lol.

I’m not even judging. Just talking logically. You spend money on the game that’s okay but don’t be upset with somebody who says logically it’s not the best place to spend money.

I’ll show you my tax returns and credit report after you find an English teacher who approves of the phrase “y’all budgets.”

And I love that you say “I’m not even judging” when you have done nothing but judge. And it’s even better that you follow it with “just talking logically” when you’ve been nothing but illogical in the presentation of your argument.

And if your whole point is that stubs — or even any type of entertainment in general — is “not the best place to spend money” .... no effing S, bro. You clearly spend money on entertainment because you have a ps4 and you spent minimum $50 on this game. Was that the best place to spend money?

Big bank take little bank, you want to bet who has the higher net worth?

True, I took a financial hit after the paternity test and the judge ruled I had to pay child support on your kids.

I know you're not going to deal with that, your just going to deflect again, so that means you lost, you can't "logically" argue around that, hence the deflection tactics.

I’m sitting here thinking about food.. lol I can’t even imagine what people spend on food. Before the covid [censored], I would say me and my wife would go out to eat maybe twice a month and get lunch 6 times a month. I know a lot of people who go get lunch in town everyday, everyday. That’s crazy! But I have the luxury of going home to eat, so for others packing lunch may get old. But [censored] does it add up
