I avoided these showdowns for two months because of the comments on these threads. But, after doing a couple, I have actually enjoyed them.

But, am I the only one that would rather face Cole than sale? I can only beat the sale one half the time. But, out of frustration ive jumped to Cole with only three runs a couple times. The first time I came up one short. Last night I beat him down 15-3.

I feel better going against sale online than in showdown.

And yes, part of this thread is a slight flex, because I was pretty proud of myself.

It sucks going against Sale. I’d rather skip him every time.

Same for Scherzer in the NL East, and Flaherty in the NL Central.

The hard part is that I know if I can beat sale I’m guaranteed to beat Cole. He might as well be the final boss for me.

How many runs are you typically at if you skip the second boss? Just played the AL East to see how it played after the patch. Won every one until I lost to Sale. That’s frustrating but whatever.

Am I wrong or did something change. I thought if you won every challenge before the final boss, you would be at 15-15. But it sounds like the divisional ones you go in down 15-10 if you win every one? Was it always like this? Are the others the same?

Most of the time the final boss is easier than the mid boss, because you get 20 outs instead of 10.

I did this one a lot, there are a lot of lefty killers in the AL East. The key to any boss on All Star is the same, let him walk you. Even when I am in a hitting slump, i was beating Sale 2 out of 3 times, just by being ultra patient at the plate.

Ohtani was my second boss nemesis. They’re all pretty easy now. They feel nerfed tbh. Which is a good thing.

If you win every challenge, you’ll always go into the final boss tied.

It’s like this for divisional, league, and Inning showdowns.

Are you sure about the divisional ones? What I’m seeing is if you win every one, you go into the final down 15-10. Always thought they were all 15-15

Sale has owned me every time I tried the east.

Would definitely rather go up against Cole than Sale.
