There isn't a much better feeling than being down 3-0 in a RS game going into the 8th only to pull together a rally and win 4-3. Gets the blood flowing. Keeps me coming back for more
Exactly why this game plays the way it does. A couple errors and a few hung pitches forced by the game and little billy is back in it. Player retention, plain and simple.

Not really but mostly because my connection seems [censored] no matter how I set up my router , dns, etc.

Not at all. But most video games are like that now. Seem to have forgone fun to give people something competitive to do so they don’t have to go outside and interact with people or accomplish anything in life.
If you have to win a game to have fun the game isn’t fun. Winning is a nice hit of dopamine to the brain in whatever you’re doing. But most people aren’t having fun during the actual act of playing.
-
No. If I want to watch real baseball I watch it on TV. I don’t want to play a video game that wants to simulate every thing. Every aspect of gameplay is being controlled too much by simulation. Tone it down and let the better player win without having to defeat the simulation on top of the opponent and this game would be ok.

Events are much better than RS. My level of enjoyment depends on how my opponent plays the game. If he's a cheesing, chronic bunting, constantly running, bunt dancing fool, then it is a miserable experience even though I'll most likely win anyway. I'd rather take a loss against someone playing real baseball than win against a fool trying to game the game.
-
Nope, it's a neccessary evil to achieve program points. Games are always laggy and people are obnoxious. It's not fun, at least I dont really care about winning or losing much, which would make it excruciating.
-
If fielding was better I would.
-
I dont like
-
Yes, very much. Losing is a part of life. Stop making excuses and stomping around like toddlers.
-
I really don't unless I can 100% completely focus in on the game I'm playing, which is so rare for me. Of course that's my own issue but I just don't love playing this version of The Show like I have in past years. I miss The Show 16 & 17, honestly.

If that’s how you want to think, by all means. Or it could be i finally was able to get some good pieces of the ball and things fell my way. Either way, the result is the same and i win. Same when i blow a lead and it infuriates me wanting revenge. Great job SDS, your built in “player retention” works for me.

When you catch a perfect perfect fastball top of the zone it’s like crack, so to answer yes I love playing online. The only time I don’t enjoy it is when I’m severely outmatched by someone who is a wizard w the pci and crushes everything I throw. These guys are rare thankfully!
-
It's a love/hate relationship. I just played a weird game. 4 fielders couldn't lock onto the ball, but SDS called it a hit. 26 runs were scored on 15 homers. No lead was safe for either team.
-
I don’t enjoy RS even if i win its frustrating

That's the plan

My answer is no. It's frustrating, stressful and at times downright miserable when someone cheats or the game freezes, which happens far too often. Would be interested to get everyone else's thoughts.
If you dont have fun playing online; there are plenty of other modes to play.

I've won three in a row online (amazing, I know) and every single game was a brutal extra inning grudge match despite me allowing a grand total of 1 run in about 35 innings. The stress involved is unbelievable and it's just incredibly difficult to score runs even with a team full of diamond studs. I have not played since the new patch came out, though.

Like a few have said here I’ve loved playing events but really don’t enjoy RS right now. I think it’s a combination of quicker 3-6 inning games, different lineup construction, easier (possibly better) rewards than getting to WS, and, maybe above all, I’m tired of facing Kluber every game.
Exactly how I feel
