This one just baffles the hell out of me. This has now happened on my last two hit and run attempts, runner gets a great jump, batter swings and misses, runner easily has the bag swiped, but all of a sudden stops moving for a second so the ball can beat them to the bag for the out. Also the feet first slide when I had the stick pointed for a head first.

Simulation taking over to influence an outcome. Too much Sim in this game, way too much.
