we both bought 80 packs. he pulled 14 DIAMONDS including Trout and Cole! I got ABSOLUTELY NOTHING!!! Not ONE diamond, not even a gold I didn't already have!!! I am absolutely livid!!

He pulled Trout, 3 Bregmans, Cole, Heyward, Rendon, 2 Story, Arenado, Degrom, Morton in 80 packs. I got absolutely NOBODY. He got over a million in stubs in one shot. And they can't even give me ONE good player in 80 packs??

Soooooo instead of buying packs just buy the card you want. I bet with $200 in stubs you could have completed a few division collections. Better yet you could flip cards and walk away with much more $$$$. Just an opinion from a guy who flips and completed all LS collections in 2 weeks with $0 spent. NBP!!! Never Buy Packs.

NBP is an abbreviation I live by. I bought a lot of packs last year, and just the thought of how much really got lost doing so sunk in.
Now that's not to say I won't open one up here or there to have a little fun, but I don't buy the headliners, I don't buy 50 or 20 bundles, and I think I've bought like maybe 3 10 bundles this year?
Sitting on Mantle and 493k stubs, it''s amazing how fast it stacks up when you don't spend it on pacs

So let me see if I'm wrong here, your friend pulled 3 of the top LS players, then 6 of the lower tier round diamonds and Heyward? Out of 80 packs? Man I wish I had this kind of odds on packs.

You willingly spent $200, nobody forced you to buy in. On your own, you gave $200 of your own money.
It's almost like real life and I'm an avid baseball card collector, however I don't blame Topps if I don't end up with a "hot box" or don't pull the high end auto Trout.
I've bought packs from the shop and didn't pull diamonds and I didn't blame SDS.
This is on you...maybe make smarter decisions with how you spend and quit blaming someone else, or something else. All you.
I am beginning to believe this sense of entitlement theory that's spreading like poison ivy in this forum.

I have always found that if a card flashes blue, you have a good chance at pulling a diamond. Anything above blue is just a blur.

So let’s say if you get just a bronze or two your pack will be worth somewhere between 100-500 stubs. For this experiment we will say this packs value at 250 stubs. If you pull a silver your pack value is somewhere between 400-800. We will call it 600 as an average for this. If you pull a gold the pack value is somewhere between 1200 and 3000. We will call it 1800 got this because it’s obviously weighted to the lower overalls.
Therefore by their own stated odds on packs if you were to pull 100 packs:
You can expect to pull roughly 55% of packs with only bronze. That equals 13,750.
You can expect to pull 33% of packs with a silver. That would equal 19,800.
You can expect to pull 10% of packs with a gold. That would equal 18,000.
Now going into diamonds you can see we are at 51,500 in stubs value from a 150k pack opening.
That means IF you happened to actually pull 2 diamonds, there is only a combo of 9 diamonds that would actually give you your stubs pack or make stubs.
That has absolutely nothing to do with whether the odds work out and shows mathematically the packs in this game are 100% a scam. Nice try though. And y’all common reply of 1 in 50 won’t produce 1 in 50 makes them even worse.

Why on god's green earth would ANYONE spend $200 on Packs... People need to realize that for the amount of money to waste on packs they can buy 90% of the cards they are trying to acquire.. Let's just call this what it is.. "I didn't pull Trout, so Im upset, post #123"
