I wish I could share a conversation I had with a beggar over an event game. But he got pretty colorful. For the sake of entertainment I'll just give the high points. This particular "kid" didnt ask for a win. He asked for 4 runs to finish daily missions ,which would finish the 3rd inning for him, and then he would quit and I'd get the win. I replied "Nah,Lego". My answer was very displeasing to this "kid" and he began to curse me. I love when "kids" decide to be internet tough guys when they dont get their way. So, back to my story.... After the foul language aimed at me I say "do you kiss your mama with that mouth" . To which he replied "you must be white saying putty shot (not his actual words, didnt want it censored) like that". Afterwards he continued on with what he thought to be hurtful and derogatory comments towards my toughness and race. Oh how I love these battles of wit versus unarmed opponents. He again called me a "white boy" to which I replied "White Man"(I'm actually Native American/Caucasian) . I let him know that I was 45, raised in the south and that he was obviously the only racist in the conversation. And then ,you guessed it, this "kid" continued on with what he thought to be more hurtful and demeaning banter. So to proceed to strike his 1st 3 batters out with Nick Lodolo(another white guy maybe of Italian decent...not sure) making him quit the game. Ah....good times!
My point in sharing this story is to point out the fact that "if you want something, earn it". Why should I raise my pitchers ERA just so this "kid" can get 2 stars to finish his inning? Does this "kid* not know that if he would've earned 2 event wins he would have earned his 2 stars that would've completed his 3rd inning. Now I know why they dont want us to feed the bears.(truth is I already knew why we dont feed the bears, it makes them dependent on outside help.)
