You definitely do. Just completed first half and got it said I earned 14 points on the report but got 28 on my team affinity path.

It makes me wonder if we get triple points when stage 3 comes out for teams we are still on stage 1 with.
If that is the case, I'll just work on the 15 teams I have at stage 2 and wait til stage 3 and do MTO for those others.

You most likely got double points, you just didn't notice.
Yeah. It doesn't show in the screen that shows you the points, but go to your 'tree' and you'll see you've gotten double, and unlocked things faster.

Whatever you need to get to 70 points with the least amount of effort/resistance. After 70 you can do the Veteran difficulty showdown, so the struggle is to just get to 70.

Double points for M2O is a nice balance, it actually makes the mode worth playing. Showdown gets stale very quick.

You can change the difficulty before the playoffs. So if you want to start on HoF you can and then drop down if you need to. For reference, I'd consider my self average to below average and I handled All-Star with zero effort with the White Sox.
Just so you know, if your play on dynamic difficulty you can only drop your difficulty to beginner. So if your up to hof when you get to the playoff and want to drop it, your only option is beginner. I dont know how much that drops the point though
