Curious as to why they made this change

For the first 7 or so weeks if you played vs CPU, If you picked your #1 starter, so would the CPU, same with spots 2-5. But now It seems like they always pick their ace for some reason. Doing Conquest also has the same result. I wonder why they would make this change?

Was too easy to manipulate if you had a good rotation.

Hadn’t noticed the change but I haven’t played the cpu in a while as I maxed out on program stars and the daily inning missions are only reason I play cpu

I try to manipulate to get a Lefty starter since this lineup built for Team Affinity Challenges is almost all righties, but the game has decided that isn't going to happen against this team, who I need to beat for a Monthly Award challenge

I played the White Sox this morning on HOF and selected my 3rd or 4th starter. They threw Keuchel against me.

Odd, I tried moving this pitcher into all 5 spots, and each time they threw Giolito instead.

It's about rating. Doesnt matter what slot in the rotation you put him in. I said 3rd/4th starter because I have 2 88s in my rotation.

Still works for me in conquest. Not in vs. CPU, but I didn't play vs. CPU early (not until the "beat 'X' team on All-star challenges came up), so I wasn't sure how it worked early. But I was doing a couple of conquest runs last night and it worked. I do think the rotations are a little screwy.
Like I was using the Rockies to try and finish Jackie's triples. The fifth starter kept coming up as Senzatela (which is right) and then the fourth starter was Castellani. I had to alter my rotation to where the pitcher I wanted to throw was the third starter (putting lower rated guys underneath him) so I could get Freeland. But I'm positive it was still working for me. It never seemed to work for me in play vs. CPU.

Vs. CPU seems random. But it still works in Conquest to my knowledge.

It still works on conquest, as far as I know it never worked that way in vs CPU.

To be more clear, the game I mentioned above was a 9 inning vs CPU. I cant speak for Conquest as I haven't played one in a while.
