I hope we have some sort of grind this year

We all know 18 grind was PATHETIC. But 19 was to easy to get end game cards. I do play conquest, RS, and BR.
IMO we need some kind of grind for cards and we also need it to be harder than 19 to get end gm cards.
Can't remember what they were called but they were the first wave of stats you had to get. They had 1st base, 2nd base, sp etc. That type of grind is gd enough.Agree completely man. I wasn’t really a fan having such high overall cards available so quickly. Doing that seemed to really rush the life cycle of the game.

My counter to your statement would be 19 had so much content that if they slowed it down we would be missing more cards then what we already are. I think the happy medium would be what they had in 17 with my career missions along with 19s innings program.

My mind is telling me No!!!
But my controller....
my controllers are telling me Yes!!!I don’t see nothing wrong with a little gaming grind

The 18 grind was insane. Very few want that again.
I do, however, want some stat grinding back. I like it. It gives me something to shoot for, and makes me feel like I'm accomplishing something every game. Please give us some stat grinds again, but not to 18's extremes. -

Yeah that’s a good point. I don’t necessarily think every person needed a signature series though. But then again, they brought a lot of diversity so I don’t know!

Nothing to serious or competitive but just something to play while unwinding

Why not?
Last year, I realized that I had no chance of acquiring any end game cards. I basically quit the game in May with only 50 hours played. This year I have over 500 hours played and I am still playing in January, which is the latest I have continued to play the game by a LARGE margin. Why am I still playing? Because I have two teams full of Signature players that I enjoy using.
For many people, like those who only play offline or those who are not very good at online play, 300 program points every inning was a grind. Early innings especially did not give enough points so grinding extra games for points was a thing.
I'd be fine of they brought back the My Career type missions but I don't ever again want to be forced to replace a player that I want in my lineup with some bronze or silver card I could not care less about simple to grind some stat.

This year also had "grinding" to get better players. The difference is that most people would consider this year's grinding far more enjoyable, because you just played games to do it. The grinds didn't involve playing vs. CPU games on rookie because I need to hit 575,000 HR's with Ken Griffey Jr. As a result, I pretty much never got sick of this year's game.

Most people who have been asking for grinds are offline-only players, and the list of things you can do in offline is terrible. Moving the grind to the background was a great idea, but we need better game modes in which to do it.

I see your point and it’s a good one. Like I said I could see both sides. I just feel that they made sooooo many SS cards and they were all really good that no one really felt special. Obviously the players I loved growing up felt special but that’s just to me. It’s tough to appease everyone. Some want tons and tons of high rated cards. Some are willing to put in more time for cards while others aren’t. I totally get that and every one should get the chance to play how they want. This year compared to last our play numbers are Pretty opposite lol. I played way more in 18.
Fingers crossed they find a happy medium!
