So none of you have used his 95 sig card?
Correct, no one here has any clue about what they are talking about. Color me shocked!

Here's the sinker/2sm issue: they should have the same type of release out of the hand...you know...like a freaking fastball.
Not a change up
Not a slider
Not any other off speed
Like a fastballHere's what they should do:
4 seam FB: slight horizontal run based on pitcher's break
2 seam FB: moderate horizontal run and vertical drop based on pitcher's break
sinker FB: slight horizontal run and moderate+ vertical drop based on pitcher's breakThey should all look the same out of the hand.
mic drop
The four seam is fine. Sinkers move correctly except up in the zone they move too much.
The 2 seam is wrong though. It has too much drop and moves too early. They should ditch the online 2 seam for the offline running fastball.
Their action out of the hand is wrong (sinkers)
I would prefer them actually not even have sinker/2 seam and just 2 seam because they are essentially the same pitch
They are griped similarly, but they don't move the same.

Redo the sinker. Make it look like a two seamer out of the hand but give it more vertical drop than the two seamer. Lower in the zone the more drop it gets. Buff the two seamer with more horizontal break.
Ask yourself how much more fun the game would be on HoF if you didn't have to face glitchy sinkers all the time? Hitting would become easier so now SDS should give pitchers an inch or two off the plate away. There's plenty of umpire graphs out there that show the percentages of what locations are called strikes vs balls.
Do this and I think pitching / hitting is much better.

There is only one pitch motion for the other though. Everything comes from the same point 100% of the time. The movement for a 2 seam or sinker is based on the pitchers arm slot and rotation. They are gripped the same way, but the lower the arm slot the more arm side run and less vertical drop.

Good points, but the main issue with the sinker is it doesn't come out of the hand correctly, regardless of arm slot. The two seamer looks more accurate imo.

That is done on purpose to help the batter with pitch recognition. None of the hitting views allow for depth perception that you get IRL. Concessions have to be made so people can actually hit the ball.
Pick 5 different camera settings and the sinker will look different out of the hand in everyone.

But as far as I know no one in the game throws a 2seam and a sinker.

Also, his primary pitch is a sinker, which he never threw in real life, while the pitch he threw the most (a four-seam fastball) is his fifth pitch.
In his prime, he threw a 2 seamer quite a bit. Which is basically a sinker. His circle changeup was always elite, and had a plus curveball.
At the end of his career he threw basically 4 seamers and circle change ups..Let's hear what Tony Gwynn had to say Article
Glavine didn't throw many four seams until much later in his career and he adopted a cutter. Prime Glavine threw in the mid 90's and I'd say the movement was more in line with a sinker.
In the game it could probably touch 96-97 up in the zone. He's not the first it the last pitcher to have his velocity boosted though. Cy Young wasn't throwing 95mph ️
No, Cy Young probably wasn't throwing 95. Just throwing dirty baseballs with poor lighting to guys swinging tree trunks for bats.

Yea what do I know pitching at a top 10 program and throwing only 2-seamers and sinkers my entire pitching career. Thanks for your input.

9 IP, 3Ks, 2 hit allowed I think but tossed a shutout. I can't pull up my history, the site isn't working. Great mix of movement and pitch velo, in that you will get a lot of pop ups and grounders. I don't see him striking out 10 guys a game.
This was in WC, I should say, though now I'm in DS, hopefully I can try him on HOF.

Kinda true though. When our parents told us we could be anything we wanted to be in the future, they weren’t exactly lying. That’s what the internet is for
-
I haven't used him yet, but it doesn't matter. The pitching is such garbage this year that he'll end up getting lit up just like every pitcher in this game does despite their attributes.
I mean, you might pitch a good game here and there depending on your opponent. But his ERA should be telling over the long haul.
