Well considering it takes 4 showdown wins to net 70+ points, it shouldn’t take 2 to do it with your DD team. I don’t know where this idea that a run is 70 points came from.

He's talking about the 70 stars for the inning program. I was confused too for a minute.

You have a good day to Ryan.
TBH I just think that idea goes against what Showdown is supposed to be, it's supposed to be a offline BR type mode. I'd rather them bring back something like SS moments of last year where you used your team.
One successful Showdown is worth 20 TA points. Which is a lower number than the amount of accounts Ryan has created to complain about Showdowns

Oh so it’s a complaint about something with even more alternatives than the future stars cards. Makes sense.

I think the point of showdown is to play with a drafted team. Then, as you progress, your team gets better each step of the way.
It somewhat defeats the purpose if you are using your DD team. What you are asking for should be a completely different offline game mode, and not shoehorn a DD squad into showdown.
Does it really though? In theory it should but not always. I've attempted the 3rd inning showdown probably about 6-7 times and I pretty much have the same lineup every time due to the same card choices. Then the majority of the time, my upgrade choices always end up being the same cards/same positions.
I get the argument about not letting you use your DD team but I could also see allowing you to draft within the same parameters from your DD team inventory, so you can't just load it up with all diamonds.

I think by progression, he meant in one single run, as in, the team you first draft gets better as you win the moments/mini-bosses, until you finally reach the main boss. your team has progressed, you do have better players by the end
I don't think it was meant to mean getting better every new run you do

True. I didn't really mean to imply that it didn't work that way. I was more just complaining about having to field the same team every time because I'm consistently choosing from the same cards.

Yep. This.
Your drafted squad gets a little better with each additional reward from completing the moments. -
I can say I am getting better at Showdown, Beat the 3rd Inning last night on the 2nd try, went into it 15-10. Now if I can have a little more patients with NL and AL showdowns I will beat them.

I dont know anything about coding, but is there a way that u could use your DD team and same draft style applies to your cards? Two different types of showdown, 1 with DD and 1 without
I enjoy using the different players but would b cool to see if i had to pick and choose in a draft style out of the cards i own -

Your drafted squad gets a little better with each additional reward from completing the moments.Except when all your options are pitchers after each mission. Happened to me twice in a row! You only need 1 SP and 1 RP and both are acquired in the regular draft.
