    It's pathetic. His 9 year avg on BABIP is .348, so why are the balls going nowhere in this game when they touch his bat?

    You're telling me that I should be getting weak contact on 75% of the balls I put in play with Mike Trout, you know, superman, the best player in the game?! Come on, fix hitting and respond to the people that pay your salary, TODAY!

    .250 BABIP does not mean 75% Weak Contact... Batted ball profile and BABIP are two completely separate items although batted ball profile ultimately influences BABIP.... For instance when Bonds mashed 73 HR with a .328 Avg his BABIP was only .266.

    How many HR do you have? If you are mashing a higher than normal amount of HR then your BABIP can potentially suffer as HRs are not included in the BABIP calculation.

    What's your batting average with Trout? How many strikeouts? How many HR? To go with this .250 BABIP...

    I am referring to the contact results I get in the game. Okay = weak, sounds exactly the same and goes nowhere, the words are just different. What I am saying is there should be more "good" and "squared up" contact results. I shouldnt be weakly grounding or flying out on 75% of his ABs. I have 20 HRs in 318 ABs. I do strike out a ton, but me swinging at bad pitches doesnt change the fact that when I do make contact the result doesnt match up. I have not one single double that has been smoked into the gap. Not one. Last night I hit one that said 101 mph exit velo. Headed for the gap, but for some reason stayed in the air for 6 seconds for the LF to trot under it and make the catch. 101 mph line drives dont stay in the air that long. They are down in about half that time and go to the wall.

    I don't think that means that you're getting weak contact on 75% of balls in play. Also what is the context? How big of a sample size? Are you playing a lot of elite defenders?

    I don’t think you understand how BABIP works, .250 doesn’t mean that you have weak contact 75% of the time, it means you get on base 25% of the time you put the ball in play. That means that it doesn’t matter whether you make soft, weak, or good contact, you have gotten a hit 25% of the time. It has nothing to do with how you hit the ball

    I do use directional, it is a setting in the game and it should work correctly. I have played this game from 09 to 18 (skipped 19) and never had this issue. However I see MANY zone hitters on Reddit and here complaining of the same thing.

    Trout has been just fine for me using zone. Over .350 with around a 1.000 slug. Good timing with good placement with his attributes=XBH and bombs

    Weak/Popped/etc = Weak

    Okay = Moderate

    Good/Squared/etc = Hard

    But i agree with you on ball flight, batted balls hang too much. Especially line drives.
