I think I got the yips

Apparently I forgot how to hit. My lifetime average has dropped from like .302 to .288 over my past 10 games or so. Idk what’s going on, my timing is so thrown off, I’m either late or early on everything, then when I do get good timing I still find a way to hit into an out. It’s like it’s completely backwards. I’ll get early timing and be all over the ball but I’ll pull it for a foul ball or an out. Or I’ll time it up well and either pop it, chop it, or get the dreaded good/ok despite being almost perfectly on it.
It’s driving me crazy I’ll play offline on hall of fame or legend, I tend to bounce back and fourth on the two difficulty’s and hit pretty well but online I’m a complete mess right now. It’s like if my opponent scores more than two it’s over.
I don’t think I’m a bad player either. I made World Series a few times last year and had a few 12-1 BR runs and a win% over 60. But these past 10 games or so I’ve looked like Stevie wonder at the plate and it couldn’t have come at a worse time. I was at rating 895 before I lost my ability to hit now I’m sitting at 819.
Any hitting tips would be appreciated.

Sometimes just walking away from the game helps me a lot sometimes. If I’m doing really bad, I’ll just play the CPU until I feel like I have my mojo back. A lot of times I just get into bad habits if I play too long so I’ll give myself a break for a fee hours at least, if not a few days.

Take two days off, your eyes will thank you! Sometimes it’s justa fatigue. Hang in there, you’ll be back to normal in a few days, everyone goes through some hitting slumps (same as in real life)

Sometimes it does help to take a short break. I also find that it helps to change my hitting view for a few innings(or a game vs cpu). It could also be that the game may be playing a little sketchy(timing windows and pci input seem off right now).
