MiLB The Shift

Agree with this. You should have to manually shift. It’s so frustrating to hit the ball in a place that would have been a hit if the infield was in a normal position. It’s one thing if the other player has the wherewithal to do it on their own but to have the cpu do it for you is lame
Yup. And it used to be only a handful of guys who were extreme pull hitters and got the shift on them automatically, now almost everyone gets a shift. Including all these wonderful minor league players who don't even have tendencies in the bigs yet. What, they might not even have official at bats yet.

I leave it on but turn it off whenever I see Albies and certain other hitters.

How can I manage my shifts? I always get burnt not thinking about it and a guy does oppo for a triple

You can use the D-pad in game to move fielders around, or in your options, you can turn off auto-shift.

I feel that bunting to beat the shift is cowardly and I will NEVER do it!! With that being said, I do believe a player should have to manually put the shift on. It should not be automatic.
-
I would say with the state of bunting in the game right now, it’s pretty cheesy to try and “beat the shift” by bunting with guys that are good hitters.
I mean, Albies is a switch hitter, FFS. Does he bunt much in real life? I never get to watch the Braves.

I have auto-shift off, I feel like shifting hurts the defense more than it helps
Especially when f**kers like me bunt against it. Huehuehuehue

Shift off here, i bunt cheese the hell out of the shift with Ozzie Albies FOTF card, he gets at least one single a game when shift is on, batting .335 in 970 plate appearances online!
Ozzie Smith is a great card for bunt cheese

They should ban the shift in MLB tbh. Then we wouldn’t have to worry about it anyway.

Press down on the d-pad before you select a pitch to throw.
