Stage 2 Showdown not giving program stars

So I've been grinding Stage 2 Showdown to get Chipper but even after beating the bosses and getting 6000 xp I'm not get but 1 star. From before the 2nd boss to beating the final boss I only received 2 program stars. Is anyone else having this issue? Did they cap stars in Showdown?

You don’t get alot of program stars by playing showdown. Its a known thing

It is, but only in-game XP. The XP that you get for beating the missions doesn’t factor in. Showdown doesn’t give a lot of in game XP

This guy knows his stuff. Its only XP in game, not rewards and since its only mini missions and very little full innings, you don’t get alot
