The question about pitching has been answered

Balls being thrown over the middle regardless of perfect release is by design. With the latest patch it’s apparently intentional and they aren’t going to change it. I understand pitchers miss their spot in real baseball but come on, we are playing a video game and the players should always be in control. Just get rid of the meter if trying to get perfect release doesn’t mean anything when the game decides where to put our pitches. I’ve already quit playing online and every year I get pushed more and more to just quit buying this game altogether. The simulation is being pushed too much.

You said it perfectly. We can only do so much in a video game to imitate real life. When we do everything that is physically possible to locate a pitch, the pitch should be located exactly where we put it
-
What are you referring to? Are you taking into account being the slightest bit off on the way up? and down? I feel like the factor "pitch confidence" in a little more than some think. some days i literally dont miss my spots, some days im Rick Ankiel throwing to the backstop. i Guess i just havent noticed it as an isssue, myself.
-
Or maybe they want to see what effect the fielding changes have before messing with something else.

I have had multiple pitches where I've been perfect on the way down and on the way up. Pitch confidence should affect how hard it is to get a perfect release, it shouldn't make our good user inputs result in bad pitches. Consider yourself lucky if you haven't experienced it. I think less than half of my perfect releases go exactly where I intended them to go

If perfect doesn’t mean perfect then why is it in the game?

Considering the amount of comments from players on multiple sites about how frustrating the pitching is, he’s extremely lucky to not have experienced it.

This is a flimsy argument when some balls are only put in play because of a perfect pitch missing its spot.
-
Because this is the last patch that will ever be in the game. No gameplay will ever be touched again /S
People need to reevaluate knee [censored] reactions.

Is it? maybe they want to see the new fielding with how the ball currently is put in play before changing the way the ball is put in play.
if better accuracy leads to less hitting, how would they know if the fielding changes are working?? -

Have they acknowledged any of the numerous complaints all year? They responded to us about the fielding, their silence about the pitching is reason enough for me to make my comment. There’s been enough patches and not once have they tried to improve pitching.

e pitching.
They only acknowledged fielding because of the players league, otherwise, they prob would have been silent about it until they fixed it. I'd expect the same for every other issue
And "not once" is not true at all. They did do one, it didn't really do anything, but they still "tried" technically. -
Yes pitching is useless this year in terms of user input! But SDS were sure quick to reduce Home Run Derby XP!!!

So we're just going to ignore how you said "not once have they tried to improve pitching."? When one patch did address pitching, Even if it didn't do much of anything, it still invalidates your sentence there.
Yes, communication is key, and SDS is not good at doing that. They need to get much better at it imo.
Much like how people don't like admitting when they said something that wasn't correct. -

How can you be off on the way down?

Yeah they are totally paid posters because they dare to disagree with you. My god you haters are all the same level of maturity and rationality

When you think about it, both pitching AND hitting have like two layers of randomization. First, you have to execute the perfectly located and timed pitch/swing, THEN there is some determination of outcome, along with whatever attribute/perk modifier.
There really should only be one of those things. It’s like if you were playing slots in Vegas and when you win, you get a chance to win, instead of just having coins come out of the machine.

They disagree until a video is posted or real MLB players call this game out. Where are they then?
