Created player keeps resetting

What am I supposed to do when my created player on DD keeps resetting to Mariano Rivera?

Recently did a simple eye wear diamond equip upgrade and it reset my Cap to a Brett Gardner-looking Joe Random (it was Rivera the last couple times). Tried bouncing out of DD and even resetting the game to get my dude back. No dice. Seems like there's nothing you can do but re-create. Finally I just jotted down some of the key body spec numbers so I can duplicate much faster.
