I have gotten a lot of people asking to play first that scores. I’ve done that a few times. Only a couple people haven’t stuck to it. I was actually surprised. And in that case I’m in the lead. But, I’ll quit if I’m on the other side.
I asked a guy about it after we played a game where he asked me to quit. Says it works a lot. And he only does it when he’s close to 12 wins. I’m not defending it. Just trying to understand it. I would imagine a lot of people just quit because they don’t want to deal with it.
It is interesting to see who does ask. A lot of guys with gold and diamond xp. Guys with cs banners and all the best Fotf players. It doesn’t bother me. I know if I just take an early lead they will quit. The problem is that i just can’t do that. Ha.
50 wins is brutal. I wish we kept the same event format as last year. Let all the really good players get the reward the first night. Let these guys get their cheap wins. Let the rest of us just play.

This is why I turned off messages an set it to friends only... couldn't take it anymore...it seemed like it was every other game I was getting messages like this
I learned that lesson playing FIFA. Half the players message you racist remarks, hate speech or wishing death on your family. Since then, always set messages to friends only.

I’ve never gotten messages like that. The only negative ones I can remember are people telling me I suck and I only won because the game is broken. One guy went off on me once when I said gg. I responded sorry dude I was just trying to say gg. Then he apologized. Aren’t people fascinating?
I do wish there was a way to just send a gg to the people that have messages off. I understand why. But, sometimes i want to compliment the other guy.

Easy solution. Turn off messages. Done

I was like 25-4 to start off the year (I’m now 30-13 or something). Some guy beats me and messages me “how are you 25-4?” How do you think? I’ve won 25 games and lost 4. I was playing well and playing some guys who weren’t too good—getting a lot of early quits—the guy went on with nasty messages and stuff. I guess my point is that I had to turn off messages because I waste time and energy arguing with guys who have nothing better to do you than message me nasty things—I’ll never understand it.
I went from 31-7(1st ranked season) to 42-19 . Did you notice more dumb losses to people that you felt you shouldnt have lost to? By that I mean....you're playing a guy that swings at EVERYTHING and he gets the late/ok hits then you have a good release that backs up into the middle and its crushed. To me it seems like gameplay got more sketchy after the 1st ranked season was over.

There are so many toxic "tough guys" online.

I know. Then when I see these guys I want to send a message like cmon man, but it’s not like my mean message will make a difference. I’ll just say. Sorry. Good luck. hoping they just quit.

Honestly fine with helping people but this is going way too far

It’s pretty normal to have a worse record after the 1st season. You start in a higher division instead of padding your record blowing through the low divisions.

All but 3 of my losses came at AS level play. I do well on HOF. For instance....finished 1st season at 872. Began 2nd season at 700. Won 1st game and moved to 730. 2nd game was a disconnect loss in 1st inning. Dropped to 695. SDS for some reason removed the loss but kept me at 695. Dropped 4 or 5 in a row on AS settings.

This morning, a guy messaged me a screenshot showing that he had 49 wins in the event and asked me if I would consider quitting so he could get Bohm. Lucky for him, I only started an Event game because I needed 1 more strikeout with a SP to complete the Corbin POTM mission. So I told him I’d quit if he let me strikeout his next batter. He agreed and we both got what we wanted. I think this was probably one of the extremely rare situations when someone messaged asking for an Event quit and actually got it lol.
EDIT: FS Dane Dunning is legit. I got 9 SOs in just 6 innings the previous game with him. His curve and sinker both have a sick amount of movement. Just wanted to share that.

My only issue with people having “proof” is that they usually pull those screenshots from other people’s streams or from twitter

Thanks for the heads up on Dunning. Clarke Schmidt has nice movement on his sinker and slider as well.

No doubt. And I would have ignored him had I not just wanted the SO to complete the Corbin mission. I mean, I’m pretty terrible at this game. If he can win 49 Events, he can obviously beat me.

That’s what I was saying earlier. These guys are not bad players. They’ll have cs banners and diamond xp. I wonder why you play a game so much to try and save time from...playing the game. Most games don’t go longer than two innings anyway, and if they do it’s because no one is scoring. So, they go fast.

Like if the kid needs nats hits for Zimmerman or something along the lines of that

Most of the time, these people are just garbage. I received a message from a guy in an event game...it didn't have any sort of salutation, nor did it ask, it just said "First to score wins. Home team gets a chance."
After I responded "Team with the most runs at the end of the game wins" he got all pissy and said I was "One of those f*gs." and apparently, I'm only allowed to want to play an entire game in RS.
These idiots feel empowered to attack because there are no real repercussions to their actions. If I start a game, my intention is to play the game. Overall...online competitive culture has fostered this disgusting toxic community, and there's not much of a way to fix it. Oh well...at the end of the day, I can still get a solid 8 at night, and they're human garbage...so whatevs.

I just played this dude in an Event game. The guy immediately messages me as soon as we start and tells me the following: “I’m 3 stars away from 300 stars I need 9 walks I’ll quit the game and give you the dub” “ Intentional walks work too”. I messaged him back basically saying I’m not dumb I know that 9 IW’s gives you an auto loss or whatever. He quit right after I said that. Some people smh
I just ignore it, similarly an easy W. I love when they send a screenshot 1 win shy of Bohm that doesn’t include the top right corner.
