You guys that hit a bomb what seems like every pitch you connect with, what do you tell yourself mentally? Any hints? I’ve got some hitting and SZ view. I think my hitting is okay, but how do you guys crush everything?? Haha

I'm not a top player by any means, but one tip that helped me is to watch the ball as it leaves the pitcher's hand. Find the release point and focus on that. It makes it easier to identify what pitch is being thrown.

Don't be afraid to take pitches either. I'm fine going down 0-2 if both of those strikes were dots on the corner. Its all about finding the right pitch to hit. To help with that, also try to identify any patterns your opponent throws. For example, if you see that your opponent likes to go up and in with a fastball after a couple offspeed pitches, you can sit and wait for that pitch

Swing at good pitches to hit, not pitcher's pitches in the corners. Work counts. Don't be afraid to take strikes. Learn to pick up tendencies. Time the fastball and sit on it, react to everything else. Practice on legend with the pitch speeds sliders all the way up.

Do those things consistently and there's no reason why you shouldn't be able to compete with the better players.

Baseball is a mind game. Everyone here is touching on most of all the same. Working counts, swinging at hitters pitchers, not pitchers pitches. It is OK to K on backdoor sliders and cutters sometimes, because more often than not, that is a good take and swinging at that is likely a forwards K, DP ball or an out anyways.

Another thing, probably not what top players do, but sometimes in the first inning I intentionally will swing extra late on fastballs and flail at curveballs to lull my opponent into thinking I can't touch the FB or can't recognize offspeed pitches in hope that he gets lazy and grooves me a few FBs in a row and eventually I make them pay. I swear this works way more often than i can count. Trust me. Try using your leadoff hitter as a decoy to appear lost and then youll have a health diet of fastballs the rest of the inning haha.

According to some helpful information I read on these forums, the best tip is to move closer to the servers.

All the top players win because they have lots of ping pongs apparently. It's science.

I’m not good, but getting better at hitting fastballs. Now, when I’m late on fastballs early in the first I just think that means I’ll get that same pitch later. Nice thing for me is it just happens naturally. Maybe some day I’ll be good enough to do what you do. Ha.
