Innings for Stage 2 affinity not carrying over

I had read that SDS had decided to allow any Team innings you had from stage 1 (for example I had 57 inning played with Mets players) to be carried over to Stage 2, but when I go to Stage 2, I had zero and still 57 on Stage 1.

So do you just lose those innings?

all of mine started over from stage 1 to stage 2. I did not know SDS said that they would not start over. It would be nice if they didn't but I don't remember seeing that.
