My God!!! You casuals!!! do you have Umpire settings to "Personalized"? If you want robotic calls with the strike zone change it to Precise!! Test the game before you make accusations people...another post about User error.
Uhh...you do know you can't set the umpires on online right?
Haha really?, I didn't know that, I was too busy playing offline mode where they AI has way more baseball common sense than some Red Bull hopped up kid somewhere in North America.
Says the person who Said "test the game before you make accusations"
You have now lost any credibility in my eyes going forward.
Listen female casual noob, there are really two games here, Offline and Online, its like day and night. I know nothing about online...I don't even know how to use those cards....I click on them and it vibrates my controller...do you noobs get excited with that?. I get like Gold cards or whatever and I sell them right away so I can get The Show money or whatever you call it and I just see how much I can collect before my Franchise year is over.

This is right! I noticed the PCI doesn't go to the edges of the zone this year, but also the ump won't call anything borderline a strike. Everything is squeezed down a few inches too far. When you catch a guy off guard with a pitch thats 3/4 inch outside on 2-2 count, a real ump is gonna ring him up most of the time.
Online or DD.? Regardless Im again have to disagree. I like the variable strikezone. It changes with umpire to umpire..Also nibble too much all game and throw a ton of balls late in the game those tight pitches go either way. That's just my opinion but I see why some might have an issue..I like the variables again, even when I'm getting squeezed. Its not just a one way feeling..IDK Curious what the rest are saying. Theres quite few regulars I know would agree with me I didnt scan the answers ..About to check it out now.

I’ve been saying this for weeks now, it forces people to throw balls in the fat part of the zone. I would even be OK if the ball is 50% in the zone it’s a strike anything less than that it is not. But right now unless 98% of the ball is in the zone it is not a strike. There is no ability to dot a pitch or paint a corner.
Yeah but the thing is..if even a PIECE is in the zone it is supposed to be a strike
Technically yes. They nailed the strike zone IMO..Watch MLB games of a fav team? If so home plate umpires and their strike zone varies from game to game depending on the ump..Forget that. Umpires in the same game strike zones may vary .Especially in a situation. Wide zone might get called tighter or vice versa. Some umps may suck point blank.Again very much real and the least of any problem this game has.Again key words , IMO.

Do you know the definition of noob?

@KingsCountyOG718 yes, I want more variability. Not less. Some pitches that miss the zone slightly should get called strikes. Right now, 100 percent are balls online. You are also conflating two different issues.
While there needs to be more variability, the zone is also too narrow. In general, a ball that touches the zone should nearly always be a strike, again, with some level of variability. Right now the ball needs to be way too far within the zone to get a strike.
-
I get what you're saying, but the biggest inherent problem with pitching is the variability of pitch location despite user input.

They are not gonna do it. They need to allow Directional hitters a chance. The Only way the game will ever be balanced is if they make evryone use zone hitting in ranked.
They get a chance because not every pitch is going to dot.

Curious to know if you play online, Kings?

Pitching makes this the worst baseball game I have ever played. I have to hit pitches on the corner while my opponent gets served meatballs the entire game. 3 times my opponent disconnected tonight because I have to get matched up with people that with Walmart internet. That doesn't include all the other lag filled games I had to play.

The umpires/strike zone....fix that and it would go a long way to fixing pitching
The umpire strike zone is by far the worst in MTO. I have had countless pitches against me called a strike when only a tiny tiny bit of the ball was on the edge. Meanwhile when pitching I have had pitches called a ball where the entire ball was in the strike zone. Absolutely infuriating.

You might have a point if these umps were consistent in their inconsistencies, if you know what I mean. Where, yeah ok, call that questionable pitch a strike/ball, but be consistent about it. Don't call it a strike against me and then I get nothing but balls called when I hit the same area.

I understand that I’m saying that I’ll even settle for a 50/50 on it rather than right now where 95% of the ball has to be in.
