Looks like we just gotta wait.
There are still a few good deals out there, but they are low exchange points so you need to get lots of them.Or take advantage. Play the market. I've never tried that before, but today I've made a nice little sum getting lucky on some cards that have gone up up up.

how long do those take on average?

how long do those take on average?
5ish hours. The better you do, the less time it takes (You enter the game in later innings, up by more, etc.)
Don't make trades for pitchers or call up pitchers, that requires a pitcher player lock. Also, turn off all base running and fielding opportunities in your settings.
