Would love to have either a utility specific position or a secondary/tertiary position available, not just to break up monotonous gameplay but also because it's realistic and helps your team manage itself so you can get to the post season more efficiently.

Also, sometimes you get drafted by a team with a stud at your primary position and it takes a whole season or 2 to get called up.

Also, if the above scenario happens it would be nice for realistic trades to happen to get your player to the show quicker.

Would be good to be able to switch your primary and secondary positions back and forth like 2-way player balance in order to fit team needs as well.

I was just thinking about this. You could play all sorts of infield and outfield. So any game you might be played in different position. Also I think if you didn’t pick the team at the beginning, it would be cool if you get caught in a multiplayer trade sometime. Se your name in the bottom ticker that your name is getting floated around with some other player.

Also, I have never been asked to play a different position for the team’s star player. I even tested it a few times in ‘26.

This has been asked for year after year, and considering how the classic utility player has become more desired than ever in today's game, it's really sad that SDS refuses to code their game to support this. While the era of the two-way player in actual MLB has likely ended, with Ohtani now likely to revert to a hitter role only and no other player being groomed to do this, it seems that SDS needs to add the option for your avatar player to be a utility player, able to play multiple infield and outfield positions.

I mean the utility player now has his own gold glove category, and managers envy any roster with a solid utility player.

This would add tremendous challenge and interest in the game. It may not be for everyone to try, but it could become a very popular play option. Yet, SDS seems to ignore it.
