Please make it a larger program with more content than the LCS program. They can easily make this a 15-20 card program.

And add in repeatable pxp mission with the cards in the program

I haven’t used any of the cards from the retro programs or barely any cause not needed to play with

@platewelder_363_PSN I agree. All year long they have been holding on to cards for seemingly no reason. The programs a lot of the time could have been longer. For some reason many of the legends still don't have a card higher than 88. The planning this year has been really crazy.

I think it’s pretty clear the push has been hard towards current players. This may have been dictated by MLB. I’m guessing many legends will be released after the conclusion of the World Series in the “offseason” for the game between November and March. Sadly, many others will simply just not get a 99 card as they are no longer a priority in this game.

My opinion is the game is being aggressively marketed towards younger players who are more likely to play online, more likely to spend money buying stubs, and more likely to favor the current players over legends. Older players, myself included, that appreciate today’s stars but have a soft spot for legends of the past, are being left behind. Sure they will toss us a bone every now and then but we are not the target audience by a long shot.

I don't know if the shift away from legends is because of MLB, or because of appealing to younger players.

A large portion of the current player cards they use are not stars. Willi Castro isnt selling the game to a younger crowd any more than Rick Ferrell is.

A lot of the current player content is a good addition though: New threads and trade deadline in particular. Pipeline and Draft are also good, but Pipeline works better earlier in the year. MLB may or may not be pushing this, but I doubt they are saying 'don't release as many legends card'

SDS clearly wants to keep down the number of cards in game, 2023 proved they could release more if they wanted. So these newer sets have come at the expense of stuff like retro all stars. And the decision to remove TA also removes another good spot for legends.

I think its more that the game is more and more targeted to the crowd that follows streamers and spams Ls in chat the second Mike Schmidt is mentioned. Its also the crowd the monetization strategy is around, its not that they cant make money off of people like me, its that they don't even try.
