Why does every event basically let you use every card? Events are the perfect place to get funky - a wheel should spin and this game you only get to use Cincinnati Reds. Or only super tall players. Or only Asian players. Vary up the difficulty every round - after three wins, you have to spin a wheel and maybe you play on HOF or Legend difficulty.

Instead, every event is like...you can use 90% of the cards in your binder!

The "let me play how I want" crowd is the reason - they'll be in here complaining that they want to use their p5 goon squad every game.

Its fun to form different teams - but this game gives you no reason to do it. Your DD squad is basically built by the end of April (except for occasionally adding the next really good card) - and theres no team building.

I like being able to use a variety of cards in events, but I will agree that I wish they’d change up the difficulty. HOF plays the best IMO and would love to play chill event games on that difficulty. They’ve had HOF events once or twice and I loved it.

@Bridge-Piece_XBL my idea was - after 3 wins in a single event round - you may randomly get higher difficulty. That way, the people who absolutely cant play hof have some protection.

    Agree.
I don't even bother with them anymore.

    They're boring and toxic.

I despise 2K, but they had a mode called limited (now salary cap, I believe) where you could only use, in MLBTS parlance, one diamond, two golds and the rest needed to be silvers.
Salary cap, which replaced it, also fosters a similar style where different cards are forced to be used.
