Message Restrictions

So I just played a guy/girl named genericmills, it was a great game and the custom logos and uniforms they had were great. I went to send a message to congratulate them and say "hey your uniforms look awesome" and it was restricted. Like many other facets of life, this feels like the new norm that you cannot say "good game" because too many [censored] offs send inappropriate messages or spam it in game.
Why can't we have nice things?
