For me, this level of toxicity all started with the WBC mini seasons “pack-a-palooza” glitch. SDS promised retribution and has done nothing. Those streamers mocked SDS, dared them to do anything about it, yet not one has been punished in any fashion and, yet we still get SDS sponsored twitch packs from watching them (That implies that what happened is OK with them)
So, there is a massive amount of anger in the Community. It would greatly decrease if SDS addressed that one particular issue.

The people who are really good at this game should absolutely be hailed as heroes. They put in countless hours being miserable, until they succeed at this fairly impossible game. Instead of congratulating them and understanding their pain, most people here seem to resent them.
Not finding the connection between my experience I shared with a top player along with their negative behavior during tbe tournament.
They are toxic and also good at the game. Both are true.
I would never worship anyone, let alone a video game player haha.

@WolfgangMLB_XBL yeah I dont think anyone is going to idolize someone for being good at a video game. Most of these so called great heroes are using some kind of thing to their advantage. Zen cheats, not many people are that incredibly great at this game without some kind of advantage the rest of us do not have or know about.

He then loses game 1 of the tournament yesterday and immediately blamed it on Ranger Suarez being glitched and his opponent playing on McDonald's Wi-Fi, then 2nd game loses internet and immediately blamed it on SDS for giving him horrible internet connection, this after claiming that he has the best internet going 1 gig up and down

I don't care about how good someone is. I relate to Daddy Dimmu and KDJTV, who are good but not elite players. I don't hate kyle, i get annoyed by him. Throwing Controllers breaking monitors and thinks its funny. God forbid you have a different opinion than he does. He openly undresses SDS, exploits the game at time, and now is pushing 3rd party stubs. I dont like it i dont watch it anymore. I turned the channel.

There's another channel called Frosti, except he makes mostly 2K content. Much better than that obnoxious moron.

If anyone watched the tournament streams last weekend, they were all cussing out SDS…just pure toxicity.
I’m a pretty good player but I can not keep up with the top guys. I matched up against Brenton the other day. He is a late night Twitch streamer with a decent following and like 1,500 games played.
He is obviously better than me and is already over 1,000 ranked points. He proceeded to message me talking trash, bunt danced and replayed home runs completely unprovoked.
Honestly just makes me disgusted to be a part of the community and not want to play.
Of course, I can just forget it and move on, but I feel like it’s worth at least bringing up.Along with the other thread mentioning the other negative [censored] these guys do, is this who SDS really wants carrying the flag for their game?
Anyone that is not mentally insane would just move on from this game. Yes, I am talking to myself here.Don't sell yourself short. Streamers are notorious cheaters and the gaming companies know it. I said in a post a while back streamers and/or cheaters have absolutely killed online gaming. However, for some reason the gaming companies think they need these low lifes to sell the game which they don't. I flat despise streamers and think they are scum of the earth. Majority (not all) are just low life pos that will do anything for views and money.

Why is there so much dislike amongst players in this community? The players hate many of the streamers, and the streamers dont seem to like each other. Ive been in other video game communities (speedrunning, sports, etc) and it isnt like that.
This community loves to hate on the elite players as tryhards and sweats. You should revere those guys and praise their abilities - when they turn on that perfectly located sinker, you should be worshipping them, not slandering them. Everyone here wants to complain nonstop about cheating and exploiting - but most of the elite players aren't good for that reason.
This game particularly has a "poor vs. rich" problem - where one side cant like the other. The onliners cant like the offliners, the new players think the old players are conspiring against them, and anybody whos making stubs must be a [censored].
I don't hate elite players at all. I do however hate cheaters. I'll take PUBG for example. They just had a big tournament and a very prominent player did a really deep dive on the tournament and concluded that ONLY 44 of the 100 people that won tournament money were legit players. This includes a player that was reported numerous times. A PUBG employee stated they were not cheating. Days later that player received a permanent ban (which really isn't permanent because they just create another account). If you don't think the majority of high level players in any game aren't cheating, you need to open your eyes.

Lol, I was being pretty tongue in cheek in this thread calling them heroes.
I agree with y'all that most big streamers who play this game seem to be super unlikeable yucky personalities. Gomer and Dimmu seem chill and normal - most of the rest seem like annoying frat bras.
But, the player base for this game is just as bad - they are relentlessly negative ragebaiters. SDS can post "Good morning everyone, heres a free 99 player!" and 9 out of ten responses will be...
"Your game is the worst game ever made. Swear word. Swear word. Cheating Scandal. Ethnic Slur. Packet Glitch. Swear Word. AND BY THE WAY - Where's my Aaron Nola Card!!! He just hit 2000 Ks two hours ago, and I dont see any recognition!!! Sleeping at the wheel again, SDS!"
