I've been playing DD since it's inception. I can't believe what has happened with this game. There were no bots in the marketplace in 2024. How did it come to this? And what is with the theory that SDS made the bots? It's hard to believe, but at the same time why would they allow these bots too exist in the first place? There's undoubtedly technology out there that could stop the bots, so why not implement it? And I'm not talking about a 15 second wait time on the app.

I don't use the app and have never wanted the app. They need to get rid of it. All it does it clog up the game servers with people playing on it all day. And that's before I get into all the idiots who don't know what they're doing. I pulled Ryan Howard Awards card last night. It was only 3-4000 stubs and I was only getting a little more than quick sell value back. Some idiot had 12 of them he was trying to get out from under from.

I've never seen so many idiots on this market. Monkey see, monkey do chit. Hundreds of cards listed for less than they would get back from a quick sell. SDS has literally ruined their own card market. It's time to go back to console only marketplace or get rid of it all together. It's been the same chit since DD began. Give me unsellable versions as I progress. I don't care. I'm here to play the game. Not flip cards.

@SkunkyTrees7615_XBL if you are here to play the game. And havnt seen what's it become. Which i agree btw. I would think you would be more stunned by how bad the game play is, the amount of cheaters, the lack of creativity, the lack of programs, the rince and repeat stuff. Compared to years prior. A little surprised you went straight to the market over everything else. I agree with the market stuff though.

If you are gonna give it to sds give it to them right. They deserve it all.

@SpawnOfDitka_XBL The gameplay is always going to be what it is. I'm actually hitting better this year than ever before. I use zone, but I'm not a fan of all the new hitting styles along with being able to guess inside/outside. I do like not having to warm up your pitchers, but I find it hard to see other pertinent game information like who's coming up next and whatnot. The d pad options and menu suck on this game. It should be easy to find attributes and stats in game.

The bad things I've noticed in gameplay: doubled and triples are a lot harder to get than in the past. I'm seeing a lot of balls bouncing off the gloves of highly rated outfielders. The stealing and bunting are out of control. I think I've been thrown out once in 300+ SB attempts. No BS. I've yet to throw anyone out stealing. Last time I played bunting was neutered. Now it's encouraged and everyone can lay a bunt down.

I'm not a fan of how they changed online play. I don't like playing the CPU and I have to do a lot of missions, mini seasons and showdowns this year. It's like banging your head on the wall. I hate em.

The market doesn't help, but the game has deeper problems

The game plays worse both offline and online than 2024. You mentioned bunting, but bunting was broken in 2024 too, but they overcorrected with stealing. Shrinkage led to the switch hitter meta, and SDS has leaned in heavily to it by making bats: both to be the most important thing in a player's career. Offline is all about taking many pitches per at bat until they finally throw it a location that's not out of zone or a dot not worth swinging it (all the double play bait)

The main card collecting path is now grind stuff for stubs and use stubs to buy cards. Packs are going to be dupes, but selling those dupes adds up (unless you get one of the early packs). Show packs have the least value they have ever had. They have made chase packs a weekly thing, and it seems headliners are rarer than ever too. 2024 was the last year of the player friendly collection model.

Innings, outside of all star, do not drop with any worthwhile content. TA is dead. Captains are basically dead.

There is content being released, more than 2024 for sure, but the whole thing does not fit together well at all and both offline and online players are frustrated.

@SkunkyTrees7615_XBL yeah unless you are like me and dont want to use a full cheese switch hitting team. Inside sinkers are broken. Even when you know they are coming, hard to catch up to them. Just one example of the poor game play. I also hit well btw. I stay around 350 average consistently online. Some players over 400. Im still a casual. I have never been past 900 rank. I fight for the casuals.

@SpawnOfDitka_XBL What this shrinkage talk? I don't think that was around in 2024 and prior. Hitting and pitching will always require some practice. I'm just stunned by how bad they've screwed things up. Way too many menus on the home screen. I forget where I'm going and I was just there, but don't know to get back to where I was looking. A convoluted mess. I thought they removed your stats because I couldn't find em.
