Its make or break time for SDS

This next patch is probably going to be the most important patch of the year for SDS and all us competitive gamers. The reason for this is because IF there is no fix for outfielders trying to catch balls with there face then it means that they can't fix it and we are going to be stuck with it for the remainder of the year. It is also gotten to the point where SDS's rushed decision to make hitting more RNG based as been a flop in a lot of peoples eyes and there unwillingness to change to back just shows us that they never had any intentions of having a game where shitty players get lite up and good players can dominate people who are not on the same skill level.
These are somethings that I would hope are addressed in the next patch or patches.
Fielding, is honestly just a complete mess so if there is no mention of some kind of fix for it we may as well just give up on the game all together. This is the worst shape MLB has been in since the 17 Server errors and even then when they got the servers up and going it was actually a pretty good game.
Hitting. Some of the adjustments in patch 1.04 were warranted such as the PCI size decreasement and smaller timing window but the way it was rolled out leads me to think that this was planned from before launch which is extremely distrubing that they would change something so quickly that they were getting great reviews on.
The changes I would like to see to hitting would be, an increase and more consistent pattern to exit velocity on pitches that are inside the inner circle of the PCI and a reduction of PCI size on AS so that it is closer to HOF then it is to Veteran. I doubt that SDS will ever be able to figure out what is happening to sinkers and cutters but that would be a welcomed addition if they could get those pitches down to a consistent timing window relative to there respected pitch speeds
Pitching: is probably the least of SDS problems right now and im ok with how it currently is because it is the least of this games problems RN and it's a decent combination of RNG and user skill.

Great assessment. I agree totally

That answer was too good for SDS.

I’m watching The Sopranos and it’s pretty good.

This is a video game right? WTF does it matter ? If some people put this much effort into actual life as they do this game, they could be someone.

I agree! Why all these complaints about something you paid money for? It's a fantasy game, just sit back, buy headliner packs and enjoy it!

My prediction is they will drop a patch close to a stub sale. People will think aye game is fixed, spend money on stubs only to find out the game isn't much better than it was before. I hope im wrong though.
If anyone spends money before it’s fixed with how bad it is right now hey deserve to be parted from that money. I spent money early on expecting the game to work. Regret it now

Patch first, then stub sale not too long after is what i mean

I have played about 20 Ranked Season games and a bunch of moments/conquest/etc. I have not ran into any fielding issues except one time my RF didn't immediately pick up a ball near the warning track. Aside from that one instance, I have yet to witness what everyone is complaining about. I am enjoying the game (except the ONE Kaline moment I can't beat, [censored] HRs).

Had to be a cardinals fan.....

If fielding can’t be fixed there’s no way I’m buying 21 until I see at least a full month of gameplay and see what they do with patches.
This was a total “yank the rug from under you” type of year for SDS.
And you can use the excuse of covid, but that doesn’t make up for the fact that there was absolutely zero communication until a professional baseball player threw a fit on stream due to the horrendous gameplay.

You say the “patch seemed planned” isn’t it odd it came shortly after the developers tournament they did.

Hope not, the stub sale is usually scheduled for the third week in May. Around Memorial Day for Americans. That means we have a long wait for a patch.

Was it May? Ya gotta link? I was watching May and Gallo but it seemed May was just rolling his eyes in disgust..nothing major but I could tell if this happens a little more he's gonna lose it. He seems to take his gaming serious haha

Great post honestly. So much potential in this game but just not great at all right now

I am currently looking for a good series to watch instead of playing The Show but that Sopranos sounds like Italian mafia garbage, not into mafia, drug lords, gangs, prision or stuff like that. Not complaining, just saying.

They are raking in money. Your "make be better and others players worse" comments are not going to help change anything.

I have a $400 budgeted for stubs. Planned to buy some at the start and the rest through stub sales. Didn't at the start for whatever lazy reason and SO glad I did not. Not dropping a dime until I see a product close to what I saw in the beta which is what sold me on buying the game in the first place.
