Ohtani boss card craziness?
-
@Apolloz_99_MLBTS Where have I complained about bots? I’ve always said that what people think are bots are probably mostly real people. I’d much rather deal with these problems people are talking about than not have an app to manage cards. Moving the game backwards because SDS is incompetent isn’t the answer.
-
I think the market is better off without the app, but I get that it hurt a subset of the population in doing so. It would make bulk flipping a pain but increase the value per flip.
-
Now the bots are on the Draft cards..... everything must be sell now value, can't possible sell for profit.
[censored] I hate the bots so much. I agree close down the app

@samguenther1987_PSN Dumbest community of any game.

I'm just frustrated, i'm sure there are other ways to get rid of them that SDS isn't trying.
-
@samguenther1987_PSN I just can’t fathom people asking for features to be taken away rather than fixing the actual problem. It’s honestly mind boggling to me that people actually think this way. People are actively begging an incompetent developer to do less.
-
It’s not being dumb they clearly don’t care to actual do the work so close the app. If they would do work then the app could stay.
-
@Apolloz_99_MLBTS Might as well scrap the game for 27 huh? They can’t get anything right, so just scrap it altogether.
-
@Jeff7407_PSN I first noticed this a few weeks ago with the Piazza all star card. Over 1000 buy orders at just over quick sell, say 5001 or 5002. Then one day all of the orders will disappear at the same time. It happens with almost every card that has a good gap between buy and sell.
-
Piazza card now has over 200 buy price orders at 5499 which will cause the seller to make 0 profit. The buy price has gone up and the quantity has gone down but the pattern is the same. Hold the buy price down for a while (sometimes hours, sometimes days) and then all the low buy orders will disappear at the same time.
-
There was something similar on the all star judge a week ago but not to the volume of this Ohtani card. It can’t be bots buying and selling because they would be taking losses on the sale Is it bots completing the xp path and then getting Ohtani for free and trying to dump him?

Obviously they can't handle what they developed and overextended themselves not just the app but on all sorts of fronts on this game. That is what greed does. Less is sometimes more. Why do think a lot of companies thrive, ie Chick fila they do only one thing and they do it right. Less is sometimes more.
-
@Jeff7407_PSN I don't know. If it was 1 or 2 orders you could chalk it up to someone that isn't accounting for the 10% fee. The large number of orders at the same price is very suspicious.
-
Completely agree.
There are quite a few all star series cards with this issue of hundreds of buy now orders at a loss to quick sell. -
It's market manipulation and it's been happening since before the app.
-
I think I saw it myself during the last roster update. Every single gold card that went diamond had like 412 (yes, it was an exact number - which is why it caught my attention) buy now orders which were exactly the price of their quick sell value.
No additional stubs to be made by selling them. Had to quick sell them all. To me, it was very obvious SOMETHING was going on.
-
@GoozeFn_PSN oh yeah sure. Kill the the entire game over taking away the site and companion app.

I agree market manipulation has been happening long before the app I have just never seen it like this. Maybe I haven’t specifically looked but don’t recall it on so many cards at the same time.

I honestly couldn't care less if they took away the app and in fact i think the game would be better for it. That development time could be spent with the actual game, not something to do while pooping or working.
Its not like you need it to play the market.
The ease of making stubs on the market is a double edged sword as well. Its probably part of the reason why rewards have gotten worse over the years.

SDS will slove the app issues in a couple years when they start charging for it.
