@StinkyMcPooter_XBL actual control of the franchise.

Controlling things like prices, ability to relocate, build new stadiums. Really what I want is more realistic training that’s not broken, better ai management logic, far better and more immersive scouting (at least they tried this year, still sucks though)

But you know what.. you do have a point. Franchise mode itself isn’t terrible I just want more. My real issues come down to the game in general. The graphics, the gameplay, the announcing. It’s all so outdated

If you want to relocate, do so before you start the game or you can rebrand in the offseason right after the World Series.

If you want a new stadium ... build one. Go to the stadium creator and make one and then go to league menu and click on 'stadiums'. Then choose your new stadium (or an old one). You can literally play in any stadium that is in the system.

Scouting is useless. All the draft picks are junk. There are literally less than a dozen players that are worth drafting. A completely revamped draft system is needed.

AI management is completely broken. You totally have a point, there.

I think a lot of the things you're suggesting are available in games like Madden and NHL. To do much of that would require a complete tear down and rebuild of the franchise mode. I don't think SDS has the time/money/staff/desire to do any of that. 😞

Maybe Custom draft classes? Just like 2K and madden.

Late inning rubber banding is my biggest issue with MLBTS26.

I lobbied for getting rid of March to October to spend resources on franchise but I had no idea those developers would do this to franchise. Should have left them and their gimmicks in March to October.

TBH, I have no problem with adding new 'features'. Change whatever you want to make the game 'better'.

BUT ... give us the ability to turn all that garbage off. You don't like the new trading system? Turn it off. You don't want free agency to just be 'sign draft picks part 2'? Turn it off. You can't sign non-mlb/40 man/arbitration eligible prospects to a long-term deal? Now you can!!

That's my issue. Having new stuff (that is junk) forced upon us.

I agree but my biggest issue is on the field. In manage mode the game has changed significantly. They should be transparent about exactly what changes they make so we can adjust accordingly.

There were significant changes to franchise this year. Whether for the better or worse is up for debate.

    This.

    • Trading: The institution of the 'untouchable' players. No more instant trades. No more trade acceptance meter.
    • Free Agents: Free agency is now like draft signing. Free agents are sorted by ranking. Free agent 'locked' demands.
    • Contract Extensions: Players must be arbitration eligible to extend contracts.
    • 40 Man Rosters: You must keep a full 40 man roster. The CPU will automatically fill the 40 man if you do not.

These are just a few that come to mind. There are many more.

Just like @alstl04_psn said ... better or worse is a matter of opinion.

This is not true. I don't have my 40 man filled out and the CPU does not do it automatically. There is an option in settings for this. If you choose auto, then the CPU will fill it out.

If you start a franchise with less than 40 men on the roster, the CPU will fill it out for you (and some time make changes even if you do) as soon as you begin the franchise.

If you have less than 40 men at the end of spring training, the CPU will fill it out for you when the regular season begins. They will DFA and waive any player that is removed without your permission.

This happens even if you have 40 man rosters set to manual. I and others have confirmed this happening.

The CPU will not make changes during the season.

I just did it again. In spring training i took 3 guys off the 40 man. Kept 26 guys on the roster sending the rest to the minors. It stayed that way when the regular season began.

I will give it a go. I haven't done it for a couple months, now.

Ever since we noticed it happening, I've been making sure my rosters were up to date. They may have fixed the issue in the meantime. I hope so. It was annoying having to make sure to trade off garbage players with lots of experience knowing they'd be DFA'ed at the end of the spring.

Maybe it's if you just leave the entire spring training roster intact when you go to season. I like to set up my roster before spring training ends.

I tried both. The CPU would change things no matter what.

In the past, I would do exactly what you are suggesting. You send the guys down and fix your AAA/AA rosters. The CPU is just nuts. They would put 8 SP on your MLB roster and/or have 5 CF or other such stupidity.

This year, you would set your rosters up and then the CPU would change everything when you advanced to the regular season. 😦
