Waiting for ....

Why? Almost every online game I am constantly waiting on the other player. Long time before the game starts. In between every inning. A decent amount of time in between the opponent's at bats. I'm just trying to understand why anyone would just sit there and not progress the game.
I'm sure that I'm just missing something. It would annoy me less if I understood why.

Just quit.

Once it is on PC, I will do my best to find a way to force continue the game. Want to stand on the pitching mound at the beginning? Nope. Want to wait between innings? Too bad

That's the worst part of online, besides the cheating. People pause every 5 seconds, before the first pitch, every inning, and make it take 15 min longer.

@SQT18_XBL More importantly, why is this necessary? Why does the game allow people these pauses? Stop wasting our time.
