How to Get Around Pitchers Spamming High Fastballs
-
All I ever seem to see in this game when batting is pitchers spamming 98, 99, 100mph fastballs that just clip the top of the zone by the width of a fly’s nose hair.
I’m sorry but these pitches are unhittable unless you just guess and get lucky or have superhero reflexes.
Feels like a cheap way for the game to stop you getting hits and I don’t know what to do about it.
Any help?

I use those pitches as an early test to get a good feel for the level of challenge I'm dealing with. Good hitters will almost always crush the first one I throw, and when that happens I'll avoid throwing another. But if you fall for it and whiff, then you can expect a steady diet of high heat all game long.

@whitejw98_MLBTS I just don’t get how you’re supposed to react to them fast enough. Even anchoring my PCI high and in I still swing late even if it’s lined up perfectly.
I try to lay off them until 2 strikes but if a pitcher has a 100mph fastball I can almost guarantee that’s the pitch I’ll strike out on, usually trying to protect when I’m down in the count.
