Hard missions - not much value

I mean, if you want to double down on it, fine. But its pretty ridiculous to be upset at complainers when you are either unwilling or unable to apply basic critical thinking to exactly what their issues are.
I'm not upset at complainers at all.
I do believe that you do not want copy paste, easy as possible programs. I do not believe that others feel the same.

To be fair, Teak has always wanted longer TA-style offline grinds (and so do I). Thats totally legit...even if you like this countdown program (which I do).
I dont think many people, offline or on, are too wild about the copy-paate program and miniseason schtick

Yep, I agree, Teak does not fall in to the group I was referencing at all. I like Teak, he's one of the better members around here and we agree on a lot.
I'd also be fine with longer TA style offline grinds to. But when we had those people complained it was too much and felt like a second job so they got rid of it.

I think in 2024 they had TA update too frequently, and it suffered the same copy/paste feel that the current setup feels like. The 5 times a year from 2021/2023 was a good sweet spot. I also appreciate they tried something new in 2025, but it wasn't popular. Instead of going back to what worked they kind of did a bare bones version of 2025.
As for countdown, I think oddly enough the same people that want short programs the most (namely online preferred players that just want to get their cards and play other people) are the ones happiest with this.
I just don't like the connotation that people who don't want to play online are adverse to putting in effort for rewards. And also ignoring the issue of it being time restricted in the first place. The non extreme/TA program that requires the most effort in the last 3 years has only 4 days to complete it.
If SDS really wants to improve this I hope they dont draw the conclusion that people hate it because it takes effort, I dont feel thats the real issue here.

@Teak2112_MLBTS I don’t believe you are adverse to working hard some of yall sit there and grind the same mindless mini season or conquest over and over again. That takes time and patience. They also did butcher TA. I will disagree and say I’m happy that they finally did something new that actually helps online players. They could help offline players in making certain things repeatable and sellable.

I went back and checked the pre-launch DD stream to make sure I wasn't misremembering what I heard. When showcasing TA they said they received feedback on the surveys that people wanted to just be able to get through the TA programs quickly so they could get their favorite players and hop in to a game and use them where they want. So while its not what I wish they did, they listened to the community and did what people wanted.

@Pergo_MLBTS this probably isn’t what they meant. But if they made it like someone had said and made it into an evolve program type deal I think that would be better.

Funny thing is the day 1 TA drop took a fair bit of effort to get the cards, especially the second one. So they didn't even address what the survey supposedly said.

@Teak2112_MLBTS they could add something in between that last jolt player and number one fan. Could just be packs or stubs or xp. Otherwise it’s a grind for a banner
-
And one notion I agree with is that SDS is not going to be able to please everyone. Everything they do will get complaints.
But they have a tendency to address one complaint in a way that unnecessarily upsets others.
And I will again use countdown as an example. pxp with Castellanos OR Mauer. 5 wins in BR OR 15 wins in conquest. 10 HR in Online play OR 20 HR with Topps Now cards. Etc.And I also gave the suggestion to make the 75K the time limited component and purely based on online play to encourage people to take the faster online route to finish the program.
I think they intentionally did the things many are upset about in purpose though. FOMO + forced online = time to buy stubs and load up with switch hitters for some people. Oh and hey stubs are on sale so I shouldnt feel bad for doing it! I know some of you handle FOMO well and are ok sayin 'nah, Im good', but game developers rely on it for a reason.

And I want to reiterate what I have said before: the gauntlet mini season was a great idea. It is exactly how you provide something for one group of people without it upsetting others.
Its good to see this conversation has steered to a more productive direction. Better for all of us that way.

@Teak2112_MLBTS if only the ultra packs were choice packs - I haven’t got the one for Mauer yet but the other one gave me a single Egg Hunt base round

-
Yeah I may just give up on this and try the Mauer mini season.
Mauer is a beast highly recommend, he may be my catcher until I get to Victor Martinez even then I think Martinez will be my DH although Ohtani will be hard to replace.

If he’s like the Mauer of a couple years ago, I can’t wait to get him! I haven’t had too much time to play this weekend, so I’ve only played two miniseasons games.

I play in a very home run happy park but he hits tanks, it's the polar opposite of his other card which only gets base hits. If you can get his swing down you will love him.

All I need are the 5 br wins now to finish this program. It really wasnt that bad. 5 br wins will be the worst part though. Unfortunately I made it to 700 levels on ranked. Hof is not something im used to ugg. Looks like hof weekend classic for me. So I can win maybe one game again. Fuu....give me some tips onix
