Here's some good news for people who dont want to do the "hard missions" - I dont think theres a ton of value there.

30k experience at this point is worth...a wheel spin. What's the expected value of an inning path wheel spin??? 3k stubs maybe? If even that?

The rising rookies pack is likely gonna net you a base round - so 6k stubs in value. Does anyone really want those rising rookie cards anyway?

75k stubs is nice...but consider, thats two DQ runs with good luck? Three DQ runs with average luck? Im not sure that making 75k stubs in the game some way other than doing the hard challenges isnt...just about as efficient. The alternative methods seem about equivalent, even if youre a pretty decent player (the hard challenges are better if you're an elite player, probably).

Does this make anyone feel better?

Shoot, lets say you are an elite player...

To earn 75k stubs, you have to at least...

    1. Play 5 BR games and win them
    2. Play a 9-inning vs CPU game to strike out a bunch of hitters
    3. Play enough event to get Castellanos, then play him in at least a few games to get 1000pxp.
    4. Play a few ranked games to get runs

In the time it takes you to do that, I suspect you could easily raise 75k through other means.

Easily, today alone i have made enough stubs to get

    Lindor
    Griffey
    De Vries
    Miller

And a few of the Summer series cards.

And still have 50k left over, I started the day with 35k in stubs amd that was done by just playing the game and working the market.

I will admit that this program took more online gameplay than I initially thought it would. It took me about 8 hours to finish everything except the final 3 BR wins. It was the 10 hits that took the longest. I had 2 games where I had 9 hits and got in my own head lol.

It took me longer to do the kettle miniseason, DQ, and conquest, but it was obviously a more leisurely experience. Putting on a podcast and mindlessly playing offline for 12 hours is alot more chill than the 8 hours of online tomfoolery I did today.

@go4stros25_PSN yeah, I think most decent online players won't find it hard in any way (myself included) - but it doesnt really pay much better than anything else.

@rubicante23_PSN it pays less. In 8 hours I could make ~350k stubs. This program even with all the wheelspins probably pays 90-120k.

The latest miniseason with all the packs made more stubs than this program.

I need to get 1 more BR win, 11 more ranked runs and then I'm leaving the 24 Ks vs. CPU for last. Whether the rewards are worth it or not is subjective, but I have been enjoying having something challenging to work on either way. It sure beats the same 'ol "get 10 hits with any player" type stuff we've gotten all year.

@Pergo_MLBTS I should have had the 10 hits in one no game but they gave me a fc and the guy quit right after.

@Apolloz_99_MLBTS Which mode was it in? I did it in moonshot and that worked out pretty well.

@Pergo_MLBTS ranked. Dropped a bunt with Lou Brock practically the bag and he throws over to third super late to try and get Josh bell out

@Apolloz_99_MLBTS Ah thats brutal. I'm stuck in the lower levels of HOF on ranked right now, so very unlikely I am getting 10 hits in that mode anytime soon!

I never play ranked, only BR and Events. So Im back at 400 rating - you cant score more than 2 runs on many of those players, or they'll dashboard. I had to milk along the player to get the pxp in one game challenge, lol

The OP is rather close to describing a lottery operation! Your odds of losing are way higher than your odds of success. The word for that is gambling.

@rubicante23_PSN I have been spotting people 4-5 runs. That way if they are worse they will stay or even if they are better than me.

@PriorFir4383355_XBL even if you factor in the chance of getting a big pull...you have just as much chance of getting that big pull from doing other modes (from earning packs elsewhere).

And the 75k stub reward has zero gambling aspect...its just a set thing.

So, Im not sure what your point is - if people are entertained by doing the Countdown program, thats great - they should do it. Im pretty entertained by it.

My point is that it doesnt have greater value than any other thing you could do in the game.

@rubicante23_PSN its actually about 170k stubs because everyone should sell Acuna. He is mid. And there will be a better Acuna later. Plus there is more stubs in the program, plus the xp. It could be 200k stubs. Not trying to make anyone feel worse. This is a great program.

@SpawnOfDitka_XBL my point was only about the hard missions - you should definitely get acuna (not doing so will just cost you more). Im not sure if you should sell him - his value could shoot up, after completion of this program?

I like the hard missions and am halfway through finishing them - but I dont think their value is very high. (I dont even think it has good value if youre an elite player - let alone if youre average)
