Why is everyone fighting?
-
@JDHalfrack_PSN agreed

-
I wish people would just chill. Do I personally like the timebound nature of the program? No.
Will I end up finishing the program? Probably not.
I only play Ranked when I’m feeling relaxed and locked in - so if I’m not feeling that way this weekend, I’ll just buy Acuna, flip a bunch of cards to make up for not getting the stubs and everything will be okay.
-
OK - but perhaps they make this a usual weekend thing
They’re testing the waters. If they do this every weekend then we’re cooking with grease
No FOMO, just everyone wins
It would be cool as heck if this wasn’t a one-off and it became normal
Now all of a sudden everyone wins, see. They clearly see the reaction from players now if they just make this a commonplace every weekend thing there’s no FOMO for anyone
Keep the objectives difficult
Even if they did this bi-weekly it would rule
It becomes far worse if it’s a regular thing. That just adds to the enormous pile of cards people need to grind stubs for since most people cant dedicate 10-15 hours a weekend for online play. On top of that, these cards likely will not be cheap on the market once the next collection releases
Jesus Christ so they can’t win?
If they make this more commonplace it gets people playing or even trying to do stuff
We ALL already have 3000 cards and can only fit 9 in a lineup
I just don’t see the gripe
-
These are business decisions. My guess is that online play has not been what they want or need.
Also, trying something new when many things are obviously broken while cheating does not appear to be enforced is the issue, IMHO.
With that said, personally, I would double and even triple down on what has worked in the past, like double PXP for the weekend instead. That seemed to work for everyone regardless of the modes they prefer to play. I say try bringing that back once before trying new things.
A limited time mode with a lot to do just further incentivizes cheating, IMHO. I say bring on that enforcement!

@JenkinMeyer_PSN yeah this is bad bro. They literally cannot win. Finally change things up a little for one weekend and you would think sds beat someone's dog
with the madness.Im not defending sds. They banned Ditka for two days for basically nothing. Meanwhile people are cursing them out.
I am defending them for this subject though. Creativeness is good. At least they tried.
-
I am just flabbergasted (sp?) at everyone’s reaction to this. I think it’s a step in the right direction.
More is good
I imagine SDS is kind of scratching their heads, too
Now if they’d fix their hellacious bugs and server issues etc and keep doing this kind of stuff, it’d be more fun
-
@JenkinMeyer_PSN perfectly said. If you ever think things aren’t going your way in life, just come here and read about losers who play an amazing game that they seemingly hate. The Show is the best sports game ever created and people still whine and complain. Perhaps these serial losers should find something else to do in their spare time.
-
The problem with any new content being added is that it’s being added to the same broken game. Ok, so the game works, most of the time. But it is super F’d. The fact that all these broken things remain while new things get added speaks volumes. Not to mention there’s a 50/50 chance anything added will just add to the list of broken problems that will never be fixed. Arguing over programs needing online play or not just seems so besides the point when the core game needs so much fixing.
-
I imagine SDS is kind of scratching their heads, too
I'd like to give them more credit than that.
If you didn't know this would meet with a huge negative response then you should not have a content development job.But a huge negative response isn't always bad for the bottom line. Just ask EA and 2K.
There are studies done on how to manipulate gamers (consumers in general), and this is a textbook application of those studies
-
We just need to tone down the “loser” mentality and name calling and just make some progress
Maybe it’s politics or general state of the world for everyone but we all need to settle the heck down. Myself included
No one is a loser, we just have differences of opinion
-
@Bridge-Piece_XBL always nice to find a normal human on this forum. Unusually hard to find people with perspective when it comes to this VIDEO GAME THAT ISN’T REAL LIFE.
-
Yep a huge negative response is a response -
I’m sure they’re going after that and I guarantee they’re listening. Most active I’ve seen the forums in weeks
Feedback is crucial
-
@JenkinMeyer_PSN Everyone’s fighting because no one is happy about the state of the game.
-
-
If we follow my 3 guidelines to a successful MLB experience you
- Hire Dolenz. - he’s the CBREV of good ideas with actual knowledge how to help them debug
- Watch more Cardinals games. Except the ones with Meyer pitching. Who the hell is this guy? 9-0? Yikes that deserves a card maybe he has one already. Max Meyer
- kSHE
I’m partly responsible for the cardinals loss because I’m blacked out restriction living in FL.
Eff MLB and their dumb blackout restrictions
Gotta go entire weekend on KMOX -
NotesOfJohn is the only one I see causing massive amounts of issues, but he’s a known forums troll everywhere he goes.
Hope the rest of y’all’s gaming year goes awesome.

-
So basically if they come out with content next week: Mission 1: Have 1 AB in any offline mode. Missions 2 - 10: (insert Online stuff offline & casuals don't want to do)...people would praise this being new and exciting?
-
So as an offline only player I somehow managed to get the event card even though I already bought it last night and got to 80 stars in the program and stopped there. I ended up just buying Acuna and will end up selling the dupe event card eventually. I'm not interested in getting any further in the program just because I've had my fill of playing online for right now

@Teak2112_MLBTS Yeah as a completionist it sucks not to be able to complete everything when rewards are locked behind certain modes
